🌎 🌿 As part of their Climate Plan update, the City of Mississauga has launched a survey to raise awareness about the urgency of #ClimateChange and gather input on strategies other cities are using to address it. Residents can weigh in on initiatives like #retrofit loan programs, #EVcharging at all new gas stations, car-free zones, reducing downtown parking, and congestion fees. Mississauga is setting a strong example by learning from other cities, integrating Indigenous perspectives on #sustainability, and highlighting the local impacts of climate change. A report by Ricardo Sustainability, Clean Energy and Environment and UKCEH scientists for the CS-N0W programme rated the effect of a range of climate actions on UK mitigation and adaptation outcomes. #NatureBasedSolutions offered the highest co-benefits and no trade-offs in terms of the outcomes assessed in this study.
