California's Commercial Real Estate Crisis "According to the latest Q3 report by Radius Commercial Real Estate, the downtown Santa Barbara region faces a growing challenge with the increasing vacancy rates of larger properties. These spaces, often difficult and costly to retrofit for new tenants, contribute to a changing downtown dynamic. The report highlights that alongside 24 Hour Fitness vacating its substantial footprint in 2025, World Market has also put its large 23,976-square-foot property at 610 State St. up for lease... https://lnkd.in/eirtukqk

Interesting read from The Wall Street Journal on trending #amenities in the US. ⬇ Jerod Shelton, Head of Marketing and Sales at Good Filling, says: "At Good Filling, we’ve noticed a growing trend towards sustainability-focused amenities (onsite composting, community gardens, beekeeping, delivery services provided by The Rounds, TULU, and Bevi, just to name a few). Tenants and management at Greystar properties in Boston have given us wonderful feedback about our zero-waste vending solutions, highlighting their desire for both convenience and eco-friendly options. It’s interesting to think about how these trends might converge in the future, with residents seeking comprehensive amenities that cater to both practicality and rapidly growing environmental consciousness, while management seeks ever more clever and affordable ways to differentiate their properties." 🤔 Thoughts? Let us know below!
Ever wondered which amenities are trending across the US? Of course, gyms and pools are great but what are residents prioritizing the most? On-site parking! According to Quinn Eddins, who heads research and analytics for Greystar's property management division, residents in cities like Los Angeles often pay a premium for parking compared to those in Atlanta and other South-eastern areas. Part 2.) Lately, I’ve been writing a lot about City of Las Vegas as we prepare to announce some exciting news. Over the past 1.5 years, I’ve had the chance to explore this city in-depth, and I want to share some of my thoughts and insights from this journey. Las Vegas is a city that has never been afraid to say goodbye to its past. Here, nostalgia takes a back seat to opportunity. If something new arises, the city boldly embraces the future, even if it means blowing up a hotel. Within 5 days from today, Las Vegas will blow up the Tropicana. While Las Vegas has long been known as the gambling capital of the world, it’s evolving into something far bigger—a global hub for entertainment and sports. Formula 1 is already here for its second year, and the Super Bowl was just held here last year. It seems inevitable that an NBA team will join the mix, and who knows, maybe we’ll even see an MLS team with Messi in the near future? As a Dutchie, I can’t help but compare this to how Amsterdam’s Red Light District is famous worldwide. Yet for locals, it’s not somewhere they would visit. The same applies to Las Vegas and the Strip. The Strip may be the city's iconic face to the world, but for the people who live here, it’s just a small part of the bigger picture. I never imagined I’d say this years ago, but after talking to city planners, architects, hospitality groups, and residents, my perspective has completely changed. I was fortunate enough to meet founder Zappos Tony Hsieh (R.I.P.) when I arrived in Los Angeles in 2017. He shared with me his visionary approach to curating real estate in the Las Vegas Arts District. His vision wasn’t just about profit—it was about creating a social and creative impact. It reminded me of my experience with BLEND Magazine and our 60daysofspace guerrilla stores, where we took over empty buildings and transformed them into creative hubs. This is similar to what Tony envisioned for the 18b Las Vegas Arts District Association. By the time we moved on, these once-forgotten spaces were quickly rented or sold, having become hotspots of activity. If you want to truly add value to real estate, make sure you curate and program it thoughtfully. That was our big learning curve, and it was exactly what Tony envisioned. Later, I’ll share more about Tony Hsieh and the transformation of the Arts District in Las Vegas. And now, Las Vegas is on the brink of something even bigger. Entertainment giants like Warner Bros. Discovery and Sony Pictures Entertainment are planning to expand their production facilities into the city, with Warner Bros. Discovery committing $8.5 billion over 17 years. This marks a huge shift, with Las Vegas positioning itself as a serious competitor to Hollywood. Las Vegas is all about reinvention—whether it’s redefining itself as a global sports and entertainment powerhouse or cultivating creativity in the Arts District. There’s something big happening here, and soon, we’ll be part of it. Stay tuned for part 3.

🚨 The Big Apple’s Private Members' Club Boom – Is it Sustainable? 🚨 New York’s private members' club scene is thriving—with iconic venues like Casa Cipriani and Zero Bond drawing in elite crowds. But behind the glamour and 9,000+ long waitlists, is there a risk of oversaturation? 💡 Experts warn the market may be overcrowded, with closures like The Wing and Chapel Bar signalling cracks in the booming industry. 📉 🔑 Location is everything in NYC! Clubs in lower Manhattan attract creatives, while uptown clubs need to appeal to locals or transform perceptions. But one thing remains clear: in New York, exclusivity drives demand. When access is limited, it only makes people want in even more. A Guide to Private Members’ Clubs - In this guide, Knight Frank pulls back the curtain on a little-understood sector that could transform how we think about real estate. https://shorturl.at/SlzE2 Interested in luxury real estate investments tied to NYC’s exclusive social scene? Why do tenants choose NOMA Ridgewood? It's the blend of comfort and technology. From the rooftop lounge and outdoor movie screen to the Trackman Golf Simulator and co-working spaces, every detail is designed to enhance lifestyle and convenience.
