They’re doing it for power. They clearly have enough money, or they’re really bad with it. They understand taking this short term “cut” will yield long term prosperity. This is not for the American people, but for themselves. They don’t divest any of their other interests either, so how do we know they’re not making both +…kind of like Pam Bomdi did? They don’t care about you. They’re not your friends. They’re not honest people. They break the law and ignore the structure of power all day and every day.

they're in it for the opportunity for power; they already have money, and they'll make more money later. don't be naive.

Yeah right power and Money. I don’t know of any politician who leaves office poorer than when they entered it. I suspect Most increase their wealth considerably - I’d love to see any real and accurate statistics on this topic rather than opinion and unchecked statements
