The modern betting world Chapter 25. The main question before starting any money game Playing for money is a gambling and exciting activity! You can enjoy the game process 🎲, you can enjoy competing with other players, or you can enjoy the process of reflection that takes place in your head at the moment of the game 💭. In any case, the game gives emotions, which is why people play games. But what if you want not only to enjoy the game process, but also to earn money 🤑? Then you need to turn the game process into work and treat playing for money not as a pleasure, but as hard work that requires moral, physical and, most importantly, emotional costs. But the most important thing that you should do before starting the game for the sake of earning money is to answer the question as honestly as possible to yourself, and “whose money are you going to put in your pocket at the end of the game ❓” What is your advantage over other players, bookmakers or casinos❓ If you're playing with a bookmaker ⚽, why would you suddenly beat a bookmaker over a long distance? Are your probability estimates more accurate than the bookmaker's? Again, why? Are you sure that you have an advantage, and you are not on a positive turn of variance? Do you want to beat the casino 🃏? I wish you good luck! Do you play poker ♠️? Have you sat down at the table and don't know whose money should be yours? I hasten to disappoint you, most likely, your money will not be yours. Are you buying stocks or cryptocurrencies 💱 with the hope of selling them more expensive after a certain time? But someone is selling their asset to you right now, expecting the value to fall. Are you sure that your trading strategy is better and more reliable than your opponent's strategy? Maybe you shouldn't turn the game into a job? Maybe it's worth having fun, agreeing that you have to pay for pleasure? No? Then be able to answer the question of who should pay for your winnings and why⁉️

Lessons learned from the Monopoly game I keep getting more and more addicted to this game. Here are some key points it recently taught me (PS: I never lose) - You must have a solid strategy - In most cases most property is neither good or bad. Right question is “does this property fit my strategy” - Buy intentionally. Don’t just buy for the sake of buying, buy with intention. How does this property fit your strategy? How is it meant to take you to the next step? - Not all good offers look great. Many great offers are actually decieving. While playing the game, there are properties I pay double or more for to gain control. Some properties I would buy only 1/3 and auction the rest to deplete my opponents cash. Sometime I go all into 1 and lose financially on the short run but cut someone off from being able to quickly win after. Same should be applied in real life (don’t hurt anyone of course) but same mentality should be used, every action, every purchase, every decision you make must be intentional and fit your strategy. Are you an investor or speculator? In a recent trip to Las Vegas, I was reminiscing how the casinos have changed over the years. Gone from the main floor are the card games, craps and roulette. Over the years they have been replaced with slot machines. Of course, the motivation for the casinos is obvious they make a lot more money from the slots. We all know the odds, “the house” has a minuscule edge in card games. "The House" edge with slot machines is much greater, so much so that they generate 70% or more of the casinos revenue. The more noisy, flashy and blinky the better, they pull you in and there is zero skill involved. You know what else is noisy, flashy and blinking…And to most of the crowd, involves zero skill? The key is to buy everything you possibly can. For most, it’s counterintuitive, and while others hold back, you’re quietly building your empire. Life and business are like this, too. Strategic patience—gathering resources quietly and timing your moves just right—can lead to a decisive victory when it counts most. The build phase is crucial. Be quiet, be patient, and when the time is right, make your moves. This is what people do with side hussles. How they reduce the risk of the daunting task of making a 180 degree turn to do something they love. They keep working hard, but slowly building the empire on the side, and when it’s time, they make their move. Ready to start playing the long game in your life?
