It costs less to keep staff than replace them.
Our rules have changed and we must change with the rules or be left in the dust.
I hope our management have this thoughts ..
Many companies do not realise how simple that is. I have seen many hire unqualified people and train them at a significant cost to the company (both time and money) rather than add a few hundred bucks to the salaries of those who are already there and are more than qualified to do the job. In the end, the new persons that were trained ended up leaving the job within a short time for "greener pastures." It seems the higher up some people go in management the more foggier anything related to finance seems to appear. They find it hard to pay a little extra to those who are already there, the ones who are loyal to the company. And the sad thing about it is that this mentality is never going to change.
If only employers would figure this out....it sure would help people out.
Simple logic that most "bosses" don't know, or, comprehend...
I think I heard a mic drop in the background... We've had a real challenge the last few years retaining talent in cybersecurity because other organizations even outside of your industry are throwing money at anyone with experience!!!
Agree!
It is viral because it is true.
A lost concept for most employers 👊🏻
