This is s really smart short article about … pickleball(?!!??) Actually, the article is about that annoying sound of a hit pickleball. But it got me thinking about #oralprocessing. When we eat the process of chewing creates “frequencies” in the form of repeated force-time profiles or curves. There may be sound waves associated with this (but im not interested in those, here). The force-time profiles are different for each food, which has me wondering if we can distinguish good from bad foods by their respective force-time profiles.
