AI isn't a panacea, but it’s a powerful tool that enhances human work, driving productivity and efficiency to new heights. However, its use must be responsible to avoid a scenario where AI feeds on low-quality AI-generated content, rather than drawing from humanity’s richest wisdom and most valuable creations. This is why I don’t believe AI will ever fully replace humans—but it will undoubtedly change the way we work.

🤔 Is AI Progress Stuck? Or Are We on the Verge of a Breakthrough? 🚀🔍 AI has made leaps in recent years, yet some wonder if progress has slowed as we tackle complex challenges in ethics, bias, and scalability. As AI systems reach new levels, development becomes more demanding, and the need for responsible, safe AI is stronger than ever. Considerations: 1️⃣ Ethical Concerns: Building fair, unbiased AI requires careful, slower development. 2️⃣ Scalability Limits: Current models are massive, costly, and energy-intensive. 3️⃣ New Frontiers: As we address these, breakthroughs in areas like general intelligence and sustainable AI are on the horizon. Maybe AI isn’t stuck—it's evolving responsibly for a better future. 🌍✨ #AIProgress #FutureOfAI #EthicalAI #ResponsibleInnovation #TechChallenges #ArtificialIntelligence #AIResearch

Invest 12 minutes in this great TEDx talk on the future of AI. If you can’t be bothered to watch, the take home message is AI, or AGI, will never replace what the speaker calls “human intelligence” … or what I call “soft skills”. The “hard case” for “soft skills” continues. #BeMoreHuman

Is AI Progress Stuck? This question still sparks a lot of debate. I recently watched a TED Conferences Talk by Dr. Jennifer Golbeck, who shared some great insights on the challenges of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI). A big focus is on making AI more reliable and reducing issues like hallucinations. Two key steps are: Better Data: We need more diverse and accurate datasets. Improved Technology: Upgrading hardware to handle complex tasks. When working with human data, there’s always a tradeoff between reducing bias and ensuring reliability, which makes setting clear guiderails essential. As for the fear of AI taking jobs? I don’t think we should worry. What makes us truly human isn’t productivity—it’s empathy and our ability to connect with others. These are things AI can’t replicate, and they’re what make us special. #GenAI #Technology #AGI

Taking an off-the-shelf AI is only the first step towards maximizing its use. However, it's crucial to understand that past performance cannot predict future outcomes. That's why providing fresh data in a secure environment is crucial. Reid Hoffmann's recent experiment with his own information and interviewing his own AI "replica" is a great example of this. By training GPT with his own data and knowledge, he was able to create a more personalized and effective AI. This highlights the importance of utilizing AI in a way that's tailored to your specific needs and circumstances. https://lnkd.in/e8kjZthV #AI #MachineLearning #DataScience
