Was so humbled and impressed visiting the Asylum Kitchen this evening in Ealing. This project - overseen by West London NHS Trust Healthy Lifestyles Team, funded by NHS North West London Borough Partnership and Ealing Council (London Borough of Ealing) Public Health, hosted at University of West London and supported by Trust multilingual volunteers - provides a community space for asylum seekers to cook together at scale, learn skills and share food. This month’s session also falls in Ramadan so was timed for lots of participants to break fast. Such a buzz in the room. My offer to help with washing up was turned down 🤷♂️
Thanks Chris for joining us. It was lovely to see you.
Congratulations Katerina Manginas and Healthy Lifestyles Team! You are doing a great job! 👏✨️
This is wonderful to see. These spaces make such a difference to communities. Thank you team for the great work. You should have taken advantage of Dr Hilton’s washing up skills!
Love this! ❤️
