Cold Email isn't dead... just a zombie of what it once was. 2% reply rates. Double digit bounce rates. SPAM inboxes are overflowing. Revenue targets are being missed. The same 200k contacts are being targeted by SDRs and AEs. The market's been painfully slow to adapt. I know this because the most common CTA in email is asking for a call - and it's not even close. How often do you reply "YES!" to a cold email meeting request? Asking curiosity based questions or no oriented questions is an improvement and gets better results than asking for a call. Offering something of value performs better than both of these. Lead Magnets, Data Samples, Site Audits, Clay Workflows, Podcast Appearances, & Webinars are all offers that get positive replies. I think Jordan Crawford said it best, "Send them an email they would pay you money to receive". That sentence is a paradigm shift, so read it again. Send them an email they would pay you money to receive. How can you make your emails worth paying for?? ps - it's mid-2024, there's no excuse to not use triggers or signals for your targeting. Check out platforms like Common Room, Trigify, or Clay if you don't know where to start. (or send me a DM) #sales #email #sdrleadership #salesdevelopment #salesops

January 2023: We started to boost our revenue system: - Published 1 post/day on 4 Linkedin profiles - Jumped on up to 6 sales calls per day - Created social selling campaigns - Ran outbound sequences - Got invited on podcasts From January to May we commited huge efforts. High velocity, high intensity. We got some initial traction from February, but the real momentum happened in May: - Weekly inbound leads tripled - Closing rate increased - ACV became higher - More revenue We started the efforts in January, but the results really took off in May. That’s how I discovered the importance of lagging metrics. With a brainless attribution system, you would say “May was good, what did we do right this month?”. But the truth is, in B2B, your efforts take 1-3 months to create results. Lessons learned: - Conduct actions in M0 to build revenue pipeline in M2 and close deals in M3 - Take into consideration lagging metrics in your revenue attribution model **** This post is part of a series of 15 post in which I explained how I learned B2B Marketing fundamentals with concrete examples. Make sure to follow me to get the next ones.

A prospect has entered your funnel. How long should you keep them in a follow-up sequence? To be obvious, there is no definite time frame. You can keep the prospect in the product/service specific sequence for a month. Share value-rich content Tell them hacks and methods they can deploy for effective results Industry trends and benchmark Interesting case study on how your customers make use of your product If all these attempts if your prospect still didn't convert.... Move them to your monthly or weekly newsletter. Maintaining a value-rich newsletter is a tedious job But, the benefit you unfold from it is multifold Imagine this scenario... You pool your prospects in a channel or email continuously provide them with value you drop about the latest sale or product launch The result you reap from the traffic you own will give you the initial momentum to promote to new audiences. How long do you keep your audience in your follow-up sequence? #leadgeneration #funnel #leadnurturing Day 32/100

I really like breaking records. And one of those records I want to have is the Sell Better Daily Show attendance record. Doing it with a Prospecting Masterclass (primarily about outbound, which everyone says is dead) would be icing on the cake. On Tuesday, 1/21 at 12PM EST - https://lnkd.in/eaHngwKW My promise is that I will give away as much of my knowledge as humanly possible in the hour that we have together. dm strategy engagement strategy in-your-city strategy video dm outreach strategy audio dm outreach strategy content that drives outbound action importance of subject lines why I believe in a direct pitch vs relationship Why am I on this panel with Mandy McEwen and Will Aitken? Because I built the majority of my business via outbound strategies, sending around 12,000 personalized DM's per year without any automation! Because, I am still actively doing this and not just talking about it from what I did in my past. Nah fam, I am still in the game showing people that outbound will always reign supreme! Who is coming? Let's break some records (that one is selfishly for me) and learn a little while we are at it. #theysaylinkscrushreachbutwhattheysayisnotbackedbyfacts
