If you’re looking for some inspiration to keep your New Year’s resolutions going, talk to Pablo Andrade, Software Engineer at EarnIn. We did — and learned about his goals and how he’s sticking with them. As we welcome the new year, what are your goals for 2025? I’m looking forward to achieving new milestones with my weightlifting and am eager to deepen my understanding of finances. Professionally, I’m excited to keep modernizing EarnIn’s Signup and Login experience! What’s one lesson you’ve learned in the past year that you’ll carry forward? It’s best to launch and iterate rather than try to get it perfect at first. Getting feedback after launching a product is more valuable than trying to predict what the customer's behavior will be. How do you plan on keeping your New Year’s resolutions? I think it’s important to plan our personal goals before the end of January. There will always be hurdles along the way, but if the goal is clearly set then one can maneuver through. Well put, Pablo. If you’re looking to make moves toward your goals in 2025 too, EarnIn is hiring. Check out our careers page for more info on opportunities: https://bit.ly/48iksmZ

Your company is a product. How to implement this in engineering teams? I've been skimming through "It Doesn't Have to Be Crazy at Work" by Jason Fried and David Heinemeier Hansson. Many of their insights resonate with me, one in particular: Think of your company as a product. Your employees and teams are its users, and it takes everyone's effort to improve the product. Software engineers can imagine a company as software; to keep it useful, they need to fix bugs, refactor processes, and stay adaptable. And just like software gets updates, so does a company. Introducing major and minor fixes keeps things running smoothly. Sounds logical, right? Yet, building an engineering culture where people treat the company as a product is tough. Often, the mindset leans towards outsourcing or project work, making people reactive rather than invested. Have you tried the perspective of your company as a product and your employees as users? #GR8Tech #igaming #sportsbook #igamingplatform #bettingprovider #iGamingSoftware #softwarearchitecture

2 years ago, when Alfred and I started Syncdesk. We both noted the reasons why we wanted to build a company. The #1 priority for both of us was to learn. We were eager to learn how to run and grow a real business. However, we quickly realized that also meant stepping far out of our comfort zone. And, very often as well. That's nerve-wracking, but I’ve also found that’s where you grow the most. I remember going into our first few sales meetings. We were nervous as hell, and I don’t even think the guy knew why we were there. 😡 It was a shit show… 😊 But after a few shit shows, it became quite okay. 😁 Then, after some time, we started to enjoy selling and got better at receiving feedback. 🤩 And now, talking to existing and potential customers is the highlight of the work we do. In a start-up, you have to do everything yourself, because there's no other to do it for you. Meaning, that you'll continuously have to step out of your comfort zone. This aspect of running a start-up has pushed us to grow a lot, both as persons and professionally. Reflecting on our journey so far puts a huge smile on my face and reminds me how far we’ve come. 😁 And the best part is, we're only getting started.

Rock bottom taught me to dream bigger. 🚀 6 months, zero sales.📉 Then, lost our biggest contract. 💔 As a software dev agency owner, I thought I was done. But it forced me to dig deep and rediscover my 'why'. Here's what I learned: 1⃣ Chasing numbers is a race to nowhere. 2⃣ Real growth comes from solving real problems. 3⃣ Our code doesn't define us. Our impact does. Now, we don't just build apps. We build solutions that matter. Our new focus: ✅ Delivering genuine value, not just features ✅ Becoming partners, not just vendors ✅ Creating significance, not just software It's not about lines of code anymore. It's about lines of impact. This shift? It's transforming our business and reigniting our passion. 🔥

Your form isn’t an open mic for time-wasters. Here’s how to keep it short and filter the fluff: 1️⃣ Name (Unless you’re Beyoncé, we need both). 2️⃣ Work Email (@company > @randomgmail). 3️⃣ Company Name (Because “Stealth Mode Startup” is code for “no budget”). 4️⃣ Key Qualifier: “What’s your #1 challenge right now?” Short forms = real leads. Long forms = junk drawer. Give your SDRs a list they’ll actually thank you for.

I could sell you our platform code without remorse. Still, it won't work for you in 99% of cases. Why? Code is just a piece of writing. For the operator, it holds no value without context. A few software engineers might disagree, but in the grand scheme, it’s true. To understand the code, you, the buyer, need a CTO and a team of engineers. It might take a year to fully analyze it. During this time, you have to pay salaries for a team that might conclude: "The code isn't perfect. We need more time to fix bugs and add features to make it market-ready." By the time the analysis is complete, the technology will be a year behind. Meanwhile, the GR8 Platform keeps improving while your code stays the same. In a year, the platform has new integrations, improved features, and better performance due to optimization. Believe me, the real value of a platform lies in its product and engineering expertise, built on years of research and experience. You cannot go around it. So, even if I had the opportunity and would agree to sell, it's not me who'll regret this decision in the end. #GR8Tech #igaming #sportsbook #igamingplatform #bettingprovider #iGamingSoftware #softwarearchitecture
