What marketing tactics for increased awareness and user acquisition works best in Japan? The truth is kinda sad. After chatting with a ton of acquisition marketers, digital marketers, Big 3 consultants, and executives, Flyers 「チラシ 📜 」directly into the target audience’s mailbox is the clearly the most effect and cheapest way to convert users. [Probably next to word of mouth] With all the digitization happening everywhere, the effectiveness of the physical world [offline] has been forgotten but it's still a critical avenue to explore. While this caught me by surprise when I first hear about it, I 100% am sure that there are flyers that are in my mailbox that I read, which I would otherwise ignore if it came up on a random social media feed. 20 years ago, I was happy to receive an email, but totally disregarded snail mail.
