NHS England welcomes recommendations from independent review into health data research. We support the ambition of Professor Cathie Sudlow's independent review of NHS health data research. Our National Director of Transformation, Dr. Vin Diwakar, outlines our commitment to implementing the recommendations: “The Review shows that we must go further and faster in building and reforming the national health data research service on the foundations laid by the NHS secure data environments who are already supporting over 500 research studies, which demonstrates the significant opportunities to harness life and data science to better understand disease, detect them early and treat them more effectively and working with government and our partners, the NHS can make the UK a global leader in life sciences. “We are engaging the public about their ideas and views on using data in ways that are responsible, safe and secure and most importantly move us towards services aimed at prevention in health and care for the nation.” Read the news release in full https://lnkd.in/eHxpD4YU #SudlowReview
