A spotlight this week on the work of our planning team. Whether your project is new-build, refurbishment or change of use, we provide appropriate and intelligent acoustic advice to see you through the planning stages - balancing costs, functional and aesthetic requirements to deliver the right solutions. This project was led by Callum Brewer. ALL SAINTS INDUSTRIAL ESTATE, MARGATE We were commissioned by AGI Architecture to undertake a noise impact assessment to support the “Outline application for the erection of 58 commercial units, cafe and associated parking including access, appearance, layout and scale.” The proposed site is currently vacant and is located on an industrial estate that includes existing light industrial use units. We undertook a noise impact assessment in accordance with BS 4142:2014+A1:2019 ‘Methods for rating and assessing industrial and commercial sound’ together with consideration of relevant local and national policy and recommendations from the Thanet District Council Environmental Protection team. Thanet District Council granted permission for the outline application in April 2023. Post Tension Slabs in the Building Construction; Post-tension slabs are the secret ingredient that elevates buildings to new heights Here's why they're the go-to choice for modern projects: > Post-tensioning techniques reinforce structures, making them stronger and more resilient against time and external forces. > Post-tension slabs allow for sleeker designs and maximize usable space, giving architects more room to play with. > With post-tensioning, you get superior quality and durability without the hefty price tag of traditional methods. > Post-tension slabs minimize waste and extend the lifespan of buildings, reducing environmental impact. And many more! #Post_Tension_Slabs #Construction #Engineering #Creativity #Durability
