Not even the people we love. It can all disappear—in the blink of an eye. But gratitude anchors us. It humbles us. It brings us peace. So take a moment. Look around. Smile. And say thank you—for breath, for love, for life.
We may not have all these things, because we can’t have everything, but we certainly have plenty to be thankful for. Thank you for reminding us to be thankful James

Eid Mubarak. This is similar to the message our Imam said in his Eid sermon. Many of us are fortunate in a world with so much poverty, hence we should be thankful for the basics many don't have - such as food, shelter, electricity, access to healthcare and education.
