Transformation in sport … Amongst many agendas in the last 3 years working with The FA, the overriding theme has been ‘transformation’ with the original funding for my work in the NLS via DCMS. Ironically, this included Horse Racing amongst 5/6 other sports connected to post covid recovery, therefore this article in the trade paper Racing Post, turned my head this morning. Those of us who follow racing will be aware of the challenges the sport faces have not just appeared. Additionally, with Irish and French racing either side of the water offering an ever increasing compelling offer, transformation or ‘radical change’ is now surely a necessity not a choice ? Beyond the specifics related to racing, I am sure many who are working in the sporting development space- clubs, leagues and / or associations, can reasonate to so much of this Governance & Business agenda in sport - I’m fully aware racing is not alone! A challenge set by someone who with proven track record and a stakeholder the sport cannot operate without. Interesting times ahead… #leadership #sportbusiness #transformation #governance #football #horseracing #elitesport #communitysport

Our Club 51 / Latin GP group of companies is a sponsor of a number of rally races for this car driven by a world champion. We work closely with Formula 1 events and have a strong passion for racing as races are a strong metaphor for life and for business. They can be absolutely grueling and there is no room for laziness or for taking a break. Racing is truly an art form. Driving a purpose-built racing machine on a track has been described as playing chess strapped to a paint shaker, in a sauna. The sensation is one of transcendence where the human and the machine are both operating in harmony. A number of years ago, our group and our family has produced a number of racing television shows including Once Upon a Wheel with Paul Newman, who agreed to star in his first television program at the time, because my cousin David ended up buying six racing cars with him as part of that deal, becoming close friends and sharing in the passion for racing, entertainment production and philanthropy. Some of the best racers of the time including Al Unser, Jackie Oliver, Richard Petty, Stirling Moss, Mario Andretti, John Surtees and LeeRoy Yarbrough as well as a number of other celebrities including Kirk Douglas, Stephen Boyd, Dean Martin, Dick Smothers, Pancho Gonzales and a number of others starred in the program. We have a partnership with Formula 1 Brands on experiences created by Club 51 and our Latin GP group of companies. Join us at some of our events, with one of the most premier private member's business club in all of Latin America currently servicing over 400+ major families across Latin America and expanding globally delivering a premier members only business club with a Latin flavor. #assetmanagement #entertainment #racing #investmentmanagement #investmentbanking #privateequity #hedgefunds #ipos #formula1 #f1 #autoracing

Hello LinkedIn Family, My name is Amor Zayana, and I am a 13-year-old with a dream as big as a Formula 1 racetrack. While I may be young, my passion for motorsport is immense, and I am determined to zoom towards my goal of becoming a Formula 1 driver. Without the necessary funds to fuel my racing career, I’ve decided to take proactive steps towards my dream. My ideal career path looks like this: 1. Indoor Karting - where it all begins. 2. Brentwood Junior Championship (Outdoor 4 strokes rentals)- my current step. 3. Club 100 British Championship (2-Strokes Rental) - Starting this month🔥 4. Become a Rotax kart owner and win the British Championship 5. Run the CIK-FIA Championship to prove my skills on a bigger stage. Move up the ranks to F4, F3, and F2. The ultimate goal: F1 – because who doesn't dream of standing on that podium? Of course, if I’m ultra-lucky, maybe I’ll sign a deal with an F1 team early on, or perhaps win the lottery to fuel this path. 😊 How You Can Help: Connect with Me: Share advice, mentorship, or simply join my network to follow my journey. Spread the Word: Share this post with your network to help me reach more people in the motorsport community. Sponsor Me: If you or your brand would like to support a young racer with big dreams, let’s connect. Your sponsorship could help fuel my path to F1, and together we can achieve great things. To support my journey, I’ve launched my own brand, Driver’s Seat Club, where I sell unique and stylish racing-themed tees. Every purchase helps fund my dream. Check out my website and consider buying a tee from Driver’s Seat Club. Every purchase brings me one step closer to the track. I’ll be keeping everyone updated regularly about my journey, so stay tuned for more exciting updates and racing adventures. Thank you for taking the time to read my story. Your support, in any form, is deeply appreciated.🏎🏁 #Motorsport #Karting #F1 #YoungEntrepreneur #Racing #SupportDreams #DriverSeatClub

THE ANSWER: THE RACING ROOM One of challenges our racegoers have referenced, and indeed one I’ve found myself when going racing, is the finding a place on course that: 1) I can treat as a reliable base-for-the-day, giving me the guarantee of a seat - and a bit of Racing Room, away from the masses in a comfortable environment. 2) Where the sport is the focus, so I can properly immerse myself in the racing, and not miss a moment of the action. 3) Puts me around like-minded people, who have a deep-rooted passion for racing, and are caught up in the genuine excitement of the event. People who love to applaud worthy winners whether they have backed them or not. 4) Provides me with access to quick “between-the-races” food and drink without having to queue for too long. 5) Gives a sense of being significantly better than an ordinary day out at the track - ie: provides a decent quality upgrade at a good price. And it is with this in mind that Cheltenham Racecourse are pleased to introduce The Racing Room for our big four days in March: THE RACING ROOM. What’s included: - Access to the Racing Room in The Tented Village containing decent sized screens to watch the racing on. - A guaranteed, reserved seat at a table. - A warm welcome and a Guinness, beer, wine or soft drink on arrival - A food voucher for the excellent Feed Room, located close by. - A race card - A photo opportunity with the Gold Cup - A selection of visiting racing legends throughout the day and updates on news from the track from a knowledgable host. - Tipping contest and losing betting ticket draws - Tote facilities Racing Room patrons have to hold a Club Enclosure badge. It’s is now on-sale. Please be aware it is limited to just 120 people per day. So be quick, because I genuinely think this will sell quickly! One thing for sure, it is where I would want to be… (if I wasn’t working!). As an added bonus for our Venatour Sports Travel Room To Race guests, if you have a room booked, you will be provided with a preferential price. The Jockey Club

Winning a local kart race is easy. Securing a spot in a professional racing team is difficult. Becoming a motorsports legend is near-impossible. Only 1% of aspiring racers make it to professional motorsports. But why is it so hard for talented drivers to reach the top? The reality of motorsport careers: 1. The financial barriers, intense competition, and physical demands often deter many talented individuals. 2. Access to top-tier equipment and training facilities is limited to those with significant funding. The main reason for this is the combination of high costs and rigorous training requirements. It's like trying to climb a mountain with limited gear and unpredictable weather—only the most resilient and resourceful make it to the summit. So, what can we do? Spreading awareness of the sport can attract outside sponsors with large capital. Companies can see significant marketing value and brand exposure by aligning with motorsports. This creates lucrative opportunities for both the sport and the sponsors. #Motorsport #Racing #Sponsorship

Same trend globally also for betting on horse racing Less horses Less races Less clients Less money Less interest This report in the U.S. shows a 56% inflation adjusted decline since 2003 (sports globally for like for like comparison would be over 10 fold up in several regions) And globally the HORSE betting product is IDENTICAL to 2003 Zero innovation No cash out (except Colossus Bets) Zero innovation No prop or SGP markets Zero innovation No fixed odds (US and several regions) Zero innovation No margin changes / experimentation Zero innovation No syndicates (except Colossus Bets and AB Trav och Galopp ) Zero innovation The rate of decline will accelerate now - because smaller pools create self fulfilling issues. https://lnkd.in/dV2328zA
