Today we opened a 30-day public comment period for input on revisions to Directive 060: Upstream Petroleum Industry Flaring, Incinerating, and Venting. Did you know about the Indiana Finance Authority Brownfield Program's Petroleum Orphan Sites Initiative (POSI)? The program assists local government entities. These could include for example cities and towns, special taxing districts, fire protection, school or library district, local housing, hospital, or airport authorities, to investigate and correct potential petroleum releases from abandoned filling stations or other petroleum facilities with underground tanks that have no viable responsible party.
