Our mission has always been to bridge the gap between education and industry needs, ensuring our students are prepared for the real world.🌿 Then came 𝑭𝒍𝒊𝒄𝒌𝒆𝒓 𝑺𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒆. This company was born out of my passion for sustainability and the belief that even the smallest changes can create ripples of impact. Our biodegradable terracotta lamps are more than just products—they’re a symbol of the future we want to build: one where style, culture, and sustainability coexist harmoniously. It hasn’t been an easy journey, but it has been rewarding in ways I never imagined. When I got back from the Villanova Student Entrepreneurship Competition, my 7yo asked a million questions about the various business concepts. When he learned I was already working with 2nd place winner Ayden Lagalante and PocketSnap through the Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship mentor program, he was even more intrigued. The first thing he asked: Do you have a PocketSnap that I can look at? He wanted something he could see and touch. Now you might be saying "he's 7 what does he know?" Would it surprise you to hear that the only businesses that presented a physical product both finished in the top 3 overall in the competition? Conceptualizing a product is difficult even if you're not 7. Things start to happen once you bring an MVP to market and iterate on user feedback (Ayden is currently designing the 5th version of the PocketSnap to launch next year).

Our students pitched their Multimillion Dollars idea, and they captivated the audience! Our recent experience perfectly captures the magic of innovation. Every groundbreaking idea starts with a brave leap of faith—a decision to dream big and believe that anything is possible! It is not always easy to inspire our students to embrace a new vision but watching them transform into confident innovators was like witnessing a captivating fireworks show—absolutely worth it! Once we set the wheels in motion, the fun really began! Our students dove headfirst into preparation, pouring their hearts and souls into their projects. Fueled by enthusiasm and a sprinkle of determination, they collaborated, created, and chased excellence like it was the last piece of pizza at a party! When pitch day arrived, the excitement was palpable! Nerves were buzzing like a swarm of bees, and trust me, we mentors felt it too! But that’s what makes the journey of innovation so special—it’s a wild ride filled with twists and turns, and that shared vulnerability is what makes us all human. And then it happened—the moment of truth! The students took the stage and mesmerized the audience, delivering the pitch that hit home and showcased all their hard work. It was a thrilling reminder that the process of innovation is just as important as the grand finale. So, let’s raise a toast to the courage it takes to kick things off, the dedication to roll up our sleeves, and the joy of sharing our wildest visions with the world. Innovation isn’t just about the final product; it’s about embracing every twist and turn along the way—like a rollercoaster of creativity! Here’s to all the dreamers, doers, and innovators out there!
