The 4 Ps of Marketing are a foundational model that outlines the four key components of any marketing strategy. They help businesses define their product offering, set appropriate pricing, determine distribution channels, and plan promotional activities. The 4 Ps are: 1. Product: This refers to the goods or services a company offers to meet customer needs. Key considerations include the product's design, quality, features, brand, and packaging. Companies should focus on what differentiates their product and how it fulfills a customer need or solves a problem. 2. Price: Price is the cost consumers pay for the product. Pricing decisions can impact a product's marketability and profitability, and factors like competitor pricing, production costs, and customer demand play a role. Pricing strategies might include discounts, payment plans, or seasonal pricing adjustments. 3. Place: Place is about how the product is distributed and made accessible to the target market. This could mean selling online, in physical stores, or through various distributors and retailers. Place also involves logistics, inventory, and distribution channels. 4. Promotion: Promotion encompasses all activities to create awareness and encourage sales of the product. This includes advertising, public relations, social media, sales promotions, and direct marketing. Effective promotion considers the target audience and the best channels to reach them. These 4 Ps work together to create a cohesive marketing strategy that attracts and retains customers while differentiating a business from its competitors. 1. #MarketingStrategy 2. #MarketingTips 3. #DigitalMarketing 4. #Marketing101 5. #ProductLaunch 6. #PricingStrategy 7. #Branding 8. #ContentMarketing 9. #CustomerExperience

20 years in marketing has taught me one thing: Marketing > sales Every single time Think… Why do you want to buy an Apple product? Why do you want shoes from Nike or adidas? Why does a coffee at Starbucks seem cooler? That’s all the power of great marketing. It’s the engine that drives the whole business. It's what makes people talk about you, think about your brand, and ultimately, choosing your product over a competitor's before they even meet a salesperson. I’ve seen many brands pour all their efforts into sales and wonder why they're not seeing any results. The truth? It’s because their marketing foundation is weak. Marketing is what you put out there to get sales. It's the foundation, the seed you plant, the story you tell, the image you create. On the other hand, sales is the direct result of marketing. Without marketing, your sales team is trying to harvest in barren soil. Warren Buffett once said, "Price is what you pay. Value is what you get." The same applies here. When you invest in marketing, you'll see the value in increased sales. So, before you pour all your resources into sales, take a step back. Ask yourself: Is my marketing strong enough to get sales?

If you can’t afford to invest in marketing… You can’t afford to spend money on sales. Because, it’s illogical to expect: - Full quota attainment - Brand recognition - Deals from partners Unless you’re investing in: - Demand Creation - Brand awareness - Partner marketing Sales reps don’t become successful in a silo. They need the support of marketing & strong partners. If you can’t afford to invest in marketing… You can’t afford to to spend money on sales.

That’s why i love Seth Godin 🌔’s work so much. _____ The marketing department That’s the first part of the confusion. It’s a group of people who can’t decide what the thing they do is supposed to be. Is it: Advertising Publicity Increasing retail distribution Direct and measured response SEO Making the logo pretty Wholesale and trade relationships Maintaining the status quo and not screwing up Keeping the website running Positioning Creating network effects Community engagement Strategy Listening hard to market desires Customer service Customer delight Quality metrics Mass market promotion Branding (whatever that is) And seven other things we could name and argue about… If people are confused about what they do, perhaps that’s why it’s hard to move forward. What’s this meeting for? How do we know we’re working on the right things? What’s important? Call it what it is. Say what it’s for. Describe what you do. https://lnkd.in/dz6CjTbf
