So many of my clients are used to me asking this question. It's one of my favourites! Why? When clients are telling themselves a story of not being good enough, suffering from self-doubt, in the messiness of imposter syndrome or holding themselves back........ Then asking them this question helps to pull them back into reality and helps them realise that there is in fact 'no' evidence. Instead, what can be found are examples and stories of success, of where they've overcome obstacles and difficulties before, the reality of their success to date and empowers them to take action with confidence. The question allows them to shine a light on all the positive and affirming evidence. So the next time you're lacking confidence and suffering from self-doubt, ask yourself 'Where's my evidence to support the thought or story in my head?" Listening to this hero live is always a treat. I’m continually taken aback by the simplicity with which Gabor communicates his works. As a clinical psychologist in physical health my key reminders from his talk last night were: 1. Authenticity over attachment (of course, my lifelong compass point), 2. Ignore our gut at our peril. And finally, 3. What to do with the pain in our bodies? Give it the attention it’s asking for. So simple and obvious when you hear it but it’s so easy to be blindly hooked by the distraction of searching for meaning or solutions and to forget the most basic approach of simply ‘being with’ our pain. Pain is our teacher, pain is our inner infant needing to be seen, pain is our internal GPS. Thank you Gabor for making such powerful healing concepts so accessible to so many.

Uncertainty multiplies in hospital visits. I know the feeling. My days were once filled with sterile corridors. Long waits for test results were common. Nighttime silence weighed heavily on me. The upcoming diagnosis filled me with dread. As 'what-ifs' multiplied, so did my anxiety. Those days were always with me. I'm still on this path, still undergoing scans. Yet, against the odds, my heart beats calmly. I've learned an invaluable lesson. The outcomes might be beyond my control. But my reaction to them isn't. Today, I face each appointment with a steadier breath. I view them not as threats. But as steps on my path to longevity. This shift from fear to acceptance wasn't easy. But it was transformative. Erroneous beliefs and pain we’ve held onto can cause blockages to our health, success, and joy. We must work to figure out what we’ve held onto that is now holding us back. Then, we need to work through it with compassion, forgiveness, and benevolence. Eventually, we can find our way to understanding the lessons garnered from what once bound us to internal suffering. With dedication to the process, we will progress, and one day, we’ll embrace the entirety of our path with grace and gratitude. I have been delivering this keynote since 2018. Today, I added a 2-hour session for 1-1 healing afterwards. Five people were seeking help for auto immune issues. I explained that these conditions share a common history of people-pleasing, perfectionism, or caregiving at the cost of their own needs. Once we were able to identify their “fix” of choice, I helped them to trace it back to survival strategies developed early in their life. Then, I showed them how the internal conflict manifested in the body's immune response. Once they had the understanding of the mind-body connection and the techniques for recognizing these emotional roots, they were ready to heal at the level of cause.
