🌍 **Join Us in Supporting Mauro Rosales and Balfour Beatty South Florida for Bridges to Prosperity!** 🌍 I am proud to share that my friend and colleague Mauro Rosales will be traveling to Rwanda to represent Balfour Beatty South Florida in partnership with **Bridges to Prosperity (B2P)**, a nonprofit dedicated to connecting rural communities through pedestrian trailbridges. These bridges provide life-changing connectivity, improving access to education, healthcare, and economic opportunities. 🏗️ The impact of these bridges is enormous. A recent study from the University of Notre Dame found that bridge connectivity increases farm profits by 75%, labor market income by 36%, and household income by 30%. Since its foundation, B2P has built over 450 bridges, positively impacting more than 1.5 million people across 21 countries. Mauro’s mission in Rwanda will help construct a trailbridge that can transform entire communities. These bridges are cost-effective, durable, and safe, providing critical infrastructure for remote areas. ✨ **How You Can Help:** We are seeking sponsorship and support for Mauro’s efforts. By contributing, you’ll be helping to build a better future for rural communities that depend on these bridges for basic needs. Every bit of support goes a long way in making a lasting impact. Please consider contributing to this incredible cause and sharing this post with your networks! Together, we can make a meaningful difference. #BridgeToProsperity #RuralDevelopment #InfrastructureForGood #BalfourBeatty #SocialImpact #SupportTheCause

All funded Neighbourhood Centres in Queensland currently receive $10,000 in state emergency relief(ER) to give out to community members in crisis but it’s only short term to July 2025. ER can help community members in the the cost of living crisis but the beauty of this relief is that it’s flexible, can be shared in partnership with other organisations or given out to help with a whole range of individual needs. Giving out ER can be problematic if it’s not done thoughtfully because people need more than just a hand out. But the good thing about distributing it through Neighbourhood Centres is that there’s a range of other wrap around supports that can be offered at the same time. Budgeting, financial resilience, energy bill education, food programs, financial counseling, savings tips and No Interest Loans with partners such as Good Shepherd Australia New Zealand. There’s also opportunities to learn skills for employment, work in a social enterprise, volunteer in a community garden or join a cooking class. Social capital can also be built for isolated individuals via involvement in activity and social groups. Some centres also offer opportunities to address the issues that cause financial distress or form community development programs to work on solutions together. Neighbourhood Centres give a hand up, not just a hand out. Which is why the sector wants to see this ER funding available on a permanent basis across state. For those doing it tough, it’s an opportunity to move beyond crisis towards a hopeful future. 2024 Queensland Election Policy Platform https://lnkd.in/gZaSTgph #NeighbourhoodCentres #NeighbourhoodCentresQueensland #EmergencyRelief #CostofLiving Steven Miles Leeanne Enoch David Crisafulli MP John-Paul Langbroek Good Shepherd Australia New Zealand

🌟 Reflecting on Impact: Nearly three years ago, United Way of Greater Toledo made a strategic $100,000 investment to address our community's housing crisis. This decision was informed by valuable insights from our 211 helpline, where we saw a significant increase in calls for housing assistance. This is just one powerful example of how data from 211 not only helps us understand community needs but also empowers us to take meaningful action. 📈 🔍 Did you know? 211 data is publicly available. We encourage everyone to explore this information—it can play a crucial role in securing grants, government support, and advocating for critical community issues. 👉 Learn more and stay informed by visiting https://lnkd.in/g8y77sBZ. #UnitedWay419 #UnitingForBetterTomorrow #NWO211
