Autoloader is one of the most under rated features. Get to know how to use it to ingest the Data incrementally and combined with Databricks Workflows you can build very advanced pipeline in few minutes. Thanks, Youssef Mrini , for sharing this excellent article, and thanks to Aaron Binns for the detailed approach. Having used this powerful feature in Databricks for more than two years, I can confirm that the main challenge with the data loader is catching up with certain data sources. For me, using the 'modifiedAfter' option, as Aron mentioned in the third approach, makes things much easier. However, we need to be mindful of the size of the data to be reprocessed when using this option. To address this issue, I suggest another approach (hybrid): we can use autoloader along with the pathGlobFilter option and simply comment out the checkpoint. Thanks again for all the details

Hopefully, this blog can show the added value and give these organizations an extra boost. ✅Firstly, we briefly explain the basis of Unity Catalog. ✅Secondly, some examples are given to increase data governance in Databricks by using simple SQL queries. ✅Thirdly, we display how lineage makes it possible to visually retrace your data to the source. Fourthly, the need for data exploration is stressed, enhancing the searchability of your data. ✅In addition, by limiting the amount of searchable data, it is shown how Unity Catalog can help facilitate self-service. ✅Lastly, we deep dive into one of the most recent features called Delta Sharing, which makes data sharing across organizations a walk in the park.
