𝗟𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗠𝗲𝘁𝗮'𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗟𝗮𝘆𝗼𝗳𝗳𝘀: 𝗘𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 Last week, Meta made headlines by firing around two dozen employees in their Los Angeles office, including a high-earning staff member making $400,000 annually. The reason? Misuse of a company-issued $25 dinner voucher. Meta offers its employees meal credits—$20 for breakfast, $25 for lunch, and $25 for dinner—through services like Grubhub and Uber Eats, intended to support staff working late in the office. However, instead of using these credits for their intended purpose, some employees opted to spend them on non-food items like toothpaste and wine glasses, or used them to get dinner delivered at home rather than to the office. In some cases, staff pooled their credits together to maximize their benefits. Those who consistently violated the company’s policy were terminated, while others who misused the credits less frequently were reprimanded but allowed to stay. One employee anonymously described the situation as "surreal," questioning how the misuse of a seemingly trivial perk could cost them their job, despite a significant annual salary of $400,000. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗶𝗴𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗶𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲: 𝗘𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿, 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗲 While the amount involved in this case may seem minor, it serves as a powerful reminder that ethics and integrity are critical at every level of an organization. Misusing small perks may seem harmless, but it can reflect a broader issue of trust and responsibility. Organizations thrive on trust between management and employees, and even minor breaches can have significant consequences, not just for the individuals involved, but for the culture of the company as a whole. This incident provides a key lesson for both employees and employers alike. Employees must recognize that benefits provided by a company are intended to serve a specific purpose and should be used responsibly. Employers, on the other hand, need to ensure that there are clear policies in place and that these policies are communicated and enforced consistently. 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘀 As professionals, we should reflect on this situation and remind ourselves of the importance of adhering to company policies, no matter how small the perks might seem. Integrity is not just about handling large amounts of money or critical tasks; it’s about doing the right thing even when no one is watching, in every aspect of our professional lives. 𝗟𝗲𝘁’𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗮 𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁, 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴-𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗺 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀. #WorkplaceEthics #IntegrityInBusiness #CorporateCulture #EmployeeTrust #LeadershipLessons #Meta #BusinessEthics #Professionalism #WorkplaceAccountability #Leadership #HR #WorkplaceValues #LinkedInTips #CareerDevelopment

Alan Price’s post last week about how Deel is on track to hire 700+ A-players in Q3 got me thinking: How do you attract so many talented people to an organization so quickly? I don’t have all the answers, but I do know why I love working at Deel. Sure, there are the obvious reasons—remote work, great pay, hyper-growth, incredible people, and innovative products. But what truly stands out for me is purpose—for the company and, selfishly, for myself. This morning, while enjoying my coffee on the beach en route to the local co-working space, I reflected on the impact Deel has had on my life and my family’s life. I get to live and work in a beautiful town in Spain, in one of the best seats in the software industry, all without enduring a grueling my old 90-minute commute. What really hits home though, is the purpose behind my work at Deel. Every day, I get to contribute to Deel enabling similar dreams for hundreds of thousands of people around the world. And on the flip side, companies get to choose the best talent globally, instead of the limited pool within a 90-minute radius of their office. To sell well, I need to fully believe in the impact the company is having on the world—and Deel's a generational company that's making positive change at an incredible pace.

We’ve hired Christian, our first full-time employee at Hume Agency! Going from part-time employees and freelancers to having a full-time member join the team is a crazy feeling! We don’t talk enough about the scary side of scaling. Here’s the usual rhetoric I hear: - Scale scale scale! - Build faster, faster, faster! - Unicorn, unicorn, unicorn! Chill… Hiring is scary. Suddenly, you’re not just responsible for yourself. You’re accountable for a human being with a family. Personally, that means that now I must perform. I must hit quotas. It’s not just a game anymore. On the flip side, tho… Now we’re a person more to build the company stronger. To think creatively. We’re now one more person to vibe in the office. To celebrate when we succeed and to be there when we fail. And that’s one of the best feelings, I’ve felt in a long time. It not only states that we’re on the right track business wise. It tells me that our dream of building a company where people would love to work at is finally coming true. And …🤫… More incredible things are coming soon✌️

Today, many companies are creating new IT products. These can be mobile applications, online platforms, or other digital solutions. However, product development is a complex and multi-stage process. It takes a lot of time, effort, and, most importantly, a well-selected team. That's why outstaffing is becoming increasingly popular among such companies. ✏️ Rapid team scaling Product companies often deal with unpredictable workloads. For example, more developers or testers are needed before launching a new product. Thanks to outstaffing, the company can quickly expand the team for a few months and then return to the standard team without additional costs. ✏️ Access to global talent Outstaffing opens up the opportunity to work with the best specialists worldwide. This is especially important if unique skills are needed and are not available among local specialists. Instead of a lengthy search, you get experts ready to work on your product. ✏️ Reduction of personnel costs Hiring employees permanently means significant expenses: salaries, taxes, and office resources. Outstaffing allows you to reduce these costs. You only pay for the time and work of the specialist, without additional personnel management costs. ✏️ Focus on the product For product companies, the main focus is on the quality and speed of development. Outstaffing allows delegating part of the work so the team can focus on strategy, design, or key product features. This ensures better results in a shorter timeframe. ✏️ Flexibility in work The modern IT world is changing very quickly. The needs of a company today may differ from the needs of tomorrow. Outstaffing provides the same flexibility needed to adapt to these changes. Conclusion Outstaffing is not just a way to find extra hands for work. It is a strategic tool that helps product companies be flexible, efficient, and competitive. If you haven't used outstaffing yet, now might be the perfect time to give it a try. 🗣️Do you consider outstaffing beneficial for your business? What are your thoughts on its implementation? #itproducts #outstaffing #productcompany #itrecruitment #talentpool #teamflexibility

Post: Day 14/365 How to Hire a Gen Z? 🤔 Step 1: Skip the boring job descriptions. Just post something cool with emojis. 🎉✨ Step 2: Be ready for their questions: "Do I really need to come to the office? Can’t I work from my favorite café?" "Do you have snacks? No, I don’t mean biscuits—I mean fancy stuff like organic smoothies." "Is your company eco-friendly, or do you just say that for show?" Step 3: Your office needs to look cool—like Instagram cool. If not, they might lose interest. Step 4: Forget long onboarding processes. Just send a playlist to set the vibe. 🎵 Step 5: Be flexible. They might be working from the beach one week and a co-working space the next. And there you go—you’ve hired a Gen Z! Just remember, they may not stick around for long. 😉 #Hiring #GenZ #ModernWorkforce

Magic happens when you build something truly intuitive. But why is it important? Just discovered our first successful hire through MakeHireEasy happened in the Philippines - completely unplanned and unexpected. No tutorials. No documentation. Just a recruiter who found our one-way video interview platform and instantly knew how to use it. The result? Jocelyn Daquil became our platform's first hired candidate. This wasn't in Silicon Valley or a major tech hub - it was thousands of miles away, by someone who simply discovered our tool and put it to work. In the startup world, we often chase big numbers. But sometimes, it's these small, organic wins that validate everything. A recruiter halfway across the world found value in what we built, and our tool helped connect the right talent with the right opportunity. Thank you, Jocelyn and your recruiter, for being part of our story. Here's to making hiring easier, one interview at a time. → It shows the power of simplicity → It proves that intuitive design works → It highlights the global reach of good ideas → It celebrates small wins that matter → It underscores the importance of user experience Keep building. Keep believing. Keep celebrating every win. For a brighter future in hiring.
