To best determine HOW we can help, WHI prioritizes understanding the WHY. In this case, why is there a lack of healthcare in developing countries?
Lack of medicine, water, and electricity, shortages of doctors, and prohibitive costs all hinder the provision of good-quality healthcare. The World Health Organization estimates that the entire healthcare systems of 22 countries require a complete rebuild.
While WHI cannot single-handedly replace the role of a governmental healthcare system, our contribution is significant. We can help the people we work with by providing some of the services they currently need access to. By focusing on communities with the lowest access to resources required for good health and survival, we can make simple, but deliberate changes to communities that dramatically improve the lives of that respective community.
WHI is only growing in its goals and efforts toward achieving a world where everyone can receive the same level of access to resources. Greater donations to WHI would increase the number of people we can help and the number of services and products we add and subsequently provide, improving the lives of today's underserved and securing a better future for the next generation.
Miriam Hernandez, it's promising to see a shift in the credit outlook for nonprofit hospitals. positive trends in operating margins can truly elevate healthcare systems. #healthcarefinances
