(2/3) THE COST OF INACTION, not just in sales — but zoom out to life. A couple days ago I posted about the 7 areas of life. Identifying how to “close the gap” to where you want to be. It’s a powerful reflection to dig into. So, the next layer on this would be - The Cost of Inaction. Funny how I hear this term and strategy in sales weekly. For the sellers out there, I know you can relate. What can the prospect GAIN by acting or RISK by delaying? Sellers use discovery questioning to uncover an emotional state around COI to influence taking action, Right? Well, how many of us are applying that same strategy to ourselves? Tony highlighted it’s important to uncover the how (first thread). But, he pushed reflection of the cost of inaction to reinforce the strong reasons to follow through. Funny how I rarely this technique to my own life, But know how effective it is. Take a minute to really think it through. What is the WHY on closing the gap on 1 area of life? For me, why? > Gaining energy and mental focus to be my best. > Not risking future stress-related health issues. #TonyRobbins #UPW #Change #CostofInaction #CloseTheGap

Mindset and psychology in sales is so, so important. Remember, wherever you go, there you are! Here’s a quick guide to boosting your mind in less than 10 minutes: 1) Invest two minutes meditating. Even if it’s just feeling your breath go in and out. Take inventory of the breath and notice it going in and out 2) Invest two minutes journaling. I use a positivity journal with prompts called, ‘The Positive Journal’ by Nancy Clark 3) Write ✍️ a list of 3 things that make you grateful 4) Invest two minutes writing a positive letter or email to someone. #ToolsOfTheTrade #Controllables

What I've come to notice is that some prospects might really need a problem fixing or a certain outcome happening. Your product/ service might even be able to fix that challenge/ outcome. They might even believe that you are good at what you do. Yet they still might not purchase Why is that? It comes down to fear. You have to remember that the Human mind is more wired towards fear and avoiding pain. Some prospects have been stung in the past, are naturally more cautious or more concerned at not getting a decision wrong (not wasting money etc), then solving their challenge/ outcome There isn't a lot you can do with those type of people apart from trying to empower them. When you empower them, then you get them to trust themselves and are more happy to make a buying decision. You have to work harder on making themselves feel safe and empowered #salescoaching #salestraining #salestips

“That’s a story you’re telling yourself.” 👇🏼 The 2 great myths that wreck a lot of young professionals, and sabotage their confidence: 1. “If things were different, I’d be happier.” 2. When things are different and future me is here, then I’ll be happy. Fact: there is no future you, there is only today you. AND if things were different, you wouldn’t be happier, you’d be the exact same. Circumstances rarely determine happiness- your response to them does. Be intentional with the stories you tell yourself, and the choices you make. Build yourself up; don’t break. P.S. my friend sent me these ideas a while back. I have a couple cut-outs placed where I can see them and remember this principle. #sdr #Sales #ae — My name is Brandon Jeppson, and I’ve spent 4820 hours as a student of outbound sales. I also think most people are way to hard on themselves :)

𝗚𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗱𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲. 𝗦𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁𝘀 In today’s short video let me share an idea that will help you position yourself to become the obvious choice. When you first meet a potential client or customer they will share their surface problem with you. Its just what humans do unconsciously. 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲. Don’t go racing to solve that problem. There is a deeper problem below the surface that is mostly unconscious. 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗱𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲….𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗶𝘁. 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗼 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗜 𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗹𝘆 𝘂𝗻𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂. 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗺𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 – 𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗳𝘂𝗹. The magic is understanding the human condition and how connection works at a deeper level. Feelings What kinds of feelings do you have when you start your day, travel to see your client, or take your lunch break? Do you give yourself a little pep talk before seeing a new prospect? Or do you dwell too long on frustrations that have accumulated during the day? To get them out of your system, list your negative emotions on a piece of paper. For example: "I feel stupid about this call. I am a lousy sales rep. I hate this customer," etc. Complete the list. Then take each item and appraise your feelings realistically. Cross out each feeling as you gain perspective on the issues. #SellingPower

“𝐒𝐨, 𝐲𝐨𝐮’𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐧 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐭… 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐧 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐮𝐞?” 💰 Here’s how it works: 💡 𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐭 – When you’re an expert, prospects trust you. 💡 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 – Your expertise builds confidence in your solution. 💡 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 – As you engage, they see you as the solution to their problems. 💡 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 – This trust leads them to take action and make the purchase. 💡 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞 – The more value you provide, the higher the likelihood of conversion. Bottom line: 𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐠𝐞 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐮𝐞. The more you build trust, the more revenue you earn. Stay tuned!
