Supporting economic growth by developing skills within the borough, building partnerships with our business community and working in collaboration with organisations across the county

It’s all felt a bit doom and gloom recently, but when I rounded up the movement in Colne recently, it absolutely warmed my heart. I could not be prouder of our little town ont’hill this week! ❤️ The doors opened at Crumb and Play at the top of town ❤️ Then we see a new shop at the top of Albert Road, The Flower Bee ❤️ Further down, Glow By Rebecca opens ❤️ Fred and his team are busy refurbishing what was Riley’s Bar into Strangers bar… we’re keeping our eyes peeled for that one! ❤️ A new Thai restaurant in the making at the former Ivy Palace ❤️ Axes to Ashes is about to open their doors this Saturday at The Fun House! ❤️ Movement at what was Dowdies 👀 ❤️ Then, the guys at Tubbs go and blooming announce this! Times are tough out there at the moment, but seeing our businesses flourish this way is absolutely brilliant. Our high street needs you more than ever now, as they say, use it or lose it… #cometocolne

Let’s support local. We had dinner at Tubbs last night: the food and service (& prices) were outstanding. It’s great to see Oliver and Adam bring back all the staff and the buzz around the place is superb.

Thank goodness - Colne without Tubbs, I was worried I'd never get a decent Espresso Martini again! So yeahhhh!! 😃 All is good in our little town 🥰
