The day aims to raise global awareness of the importance of international civil aviation in promoting safe and efficient air transport. It highlights the critical role aviation plays in connecting the world -global connectivity of people, goods, and cultures across the continents, supporting economic growth thru tourism, trade, and job creation, and fostering international sustainability with the efforts in reducing carbon emissions through technological innovation and green policies. . From 2019 to 2024, the recurring theme is: “Advancing Innovation for Global Aviation Development.” This theme underscores the aviation sector’s commitment to innovation, sustainability, and technological advancements that ensure safety and efficiency in air travel. The date of December 7 was chosen because it commemorates the signing of the Convention on International Civil Aviation (Chicago Convention) in 1944, which led to the creation of ICAO. 🌍 Yesterday, Clean Aviation was proudly represented by our Head of Governance Bruno Mastantuono at the #ADM Seville 2024 plenary opening conference. 🛫 The session, titled "Tomorrow’s Skies: Leading the Path to a Greener Air Vehicle”, highlighted key topics like the way towards future Aircrafts, #GreenDeal, #sustainability, and European #competitiveness. 🤝 Discussions emphasised European industry and supply chain pivotal role in global aviation leadership and the importance of cooperation at Regional, National and European level, with Spain and Junta de Andalucía being longstanding partners of Clean Sky and Clean Aviation.
