There's a feeling you're going to have to live with in recruitment. And it's easier said than done. It's the constant state of uncertainty. You are unable to control every situation. There are so many moving parts. But in my opinion there are ways to help: - Control the stuff you can control. - Trust and follow the process to the letter. - Focus on the "What is?" rather than the "What if?" Be interested to hear any more techniques to help with this?

The economic cycle of recruitment that keeps people disappointed in recruitment: 1. Companies need recruitment and hire a bunch of recruiters, many of which are first time talent acquisition people trying out a new career. They are inexperienced and have little to no effective oversight and as such, are marginally effective. And undertrained. 2. The market turns. Companies don’t find the recruiters to be very valuable and lay them off. 3. These folks go into other career paths and exit recruiting. 4. Companies hire a bunch of underexperienced recruiters again, rinse repeat. 👉🏼 a recipe for having an under performing recruiting team in a bad cycle. 👎🏽

Big prediction for the Aussie Recruitment sector in 2025...... 2025 will be THE year of the Start Up Recruitment Agency We already saw flashes of this in 2024. So many Recruiters deciding to make the move out on their own. Some backed by investors. Others doing it with the support of organisations who are helping them grow and scale. Plenty more doing it all by themselves. In my opinion this is only going to happen more next year. A LOT MORE. There are also a number of well known and respected agencies who are launching into new cities. I know of at least 5 agencies in Melbourne alone who have hired leaders who will be building teams from January. 2024 has almost been a "let's wait and see kind of year" for a lot of Recruiters and Recruitment Agencies. Well, the year is almost up and so many people I speak to are ready to absolutely send it in 2025. So to those who have launched an agency in 2024 or are planning to open an agency or a new office, Good Luck! Let's all hope the Recruitment Gods make an appearance in 2025! ✌
