Leadership doesn't necessarily means people management. It simply means to lead the group to a specific goal. Product Managers aren't necessarily people managers. They can be individual contributors but still leading the product team towards the business or product goal. That's so true my friend. Leadership means taking the entire team and strife towards the same shared vision. Without being deviated :)
Agree! Yet somehow my previous company expect of me some people management while pushing hard for product delivery and high output. It is not easy judging between efficiency and people pleasing. The sole goal of finding the right product to build is stressful enough, so it would be nice if product people just take care of product mainly, not just people
True, although leading people right only makes the job more successful in my opinion Nitish Rana
Leadership is about guiding and inspiring others towards a common goal, regardless of whether it involves direct people management. It's about influence, vision, and collaboration. Nitish Rana
