Companies are trying to find their way through uncertainty. "Where are we heading ? What is the trend ?" These are questions that come up again and again. We are going into a world - where it's expected more and more from employees to be heard by the management. Horizontal leadership is a thing. When the environment is shifting fast and new skills are becoming obsolete in 2 years, Management has to learn to take feedback from the base, as they are most likely to be in tune with latest developments or tools than them. The old era of paternalism where the boss is the only voice of reason and knowledge is going soon to be a thing of the past, or at least being challenged and a reason for the loss of great team members. - where employees want meaning in their work, and can align with their place of work values. - where consumers can cancel a subscription or an account with a company that doesn't treat their employees well, or doesn't have aligned values in regards of inclusivity, green actions, or Human Rights. - where consumers and clients want to be heard, seen, respected and been given value, not have useless noise or work added. Branding has to go deeper and deeper. It's definitely not about a logo and a set of colours. Why am I saying this ? Because if your company is trying to find their way through uncertainty, it's time to reflect on their values, what their brand is and see how it's lived at every stage of your customer journey, at every touchpoint of your customer experience, in your employee's experience. Uncertainty is never going away. On the opposite. You can make assumptions and predictions but it is never 100% sure. What you can do is reduce internal uncertainty. You can show up as a solid employer, partner, vendor, show up in a reliable fashion. For this, we all need to be aligned internally and know how to take decision without asking in autonomy, we need to know what to prioritize when we take a decision. When everybody is aligned, everything flow so much better. You can always lean on this compass to navigate the unknown ? How do you navigate uncertainty ? #defibriques #valuesledbusiness #uncertainty ----------------------------- I'm Pascale "Poppins" Recher, reducing frustration for your team and your clients, amplifying profits and client retention mixing tech, empathie, tech and strategy.

It takes the right systems, the right strategies, and most importantly, the right partner. Many organizations make the mistake of choosing consultants, coaches, and trainers who promise quick fixes, or those who lack the experience and depth to deliver sustainable change. These choices might seem appealing at first, but they often leave companies with temporary gains and unresolved issues. 🔥 When selecting a partner to build your high-performance culture, here’s what truly matters: ✅ A Holistic Approach: Look for someone who understands that high performance isn’t just about systems and strategies—it’s also about the people operating them. A bespoke approach that combines business best practices with a focus on well-being delivers more lasting results. ✅ Proven Expertise: Choose a partner with a track record of measurable success. I’ve helped companies increase ROI, team morale, retention, and profitability for decades—all while empowering them to scale and launch initiatives they never thought possible. ✅ Tailored Solutions: Avoid "pre-packaged" programs. Nervousness wherever you look. Quite a few of executives we spoke with over the past months have been asking for guidance on how to behave in the current situation. Many certainties and routines have vanished – it seems “transformation” is everywhere. Uncertain times call for clarity and orientation. But how can you keep your orientation if you don't know what's coming next? How do you move from being driven to being a driver again? Our clear response: This guidance is right in front of you – it´s hiding in plain sight. It´s in your boardroom, in your meeting area: On the wall, labeled “OUR PURPOSE”. This is definitely the time to take purpose off the wall - and to use it for guidance every day. It´s time to cool down in the overheated VUCA environment. Don’t just state your purpose. Live it and make it a fundamental part of your company or brand’s DNA. At a time when most are driving by sight and long-term strategies are losing effectiveness, purpose becomes critically important. Stay grounded in the basics: Why are we in business? How do we contribute to societal, economic and environmental progress - what is our role in this? Only when you answer these questions can you really assess the relevance of specific topics for your business and actively shape the future. The bottom line is that business models are being reset right now. Business as usual will have to reinvent itself. We are convinced that purpose will provide the needed orientation and clarity in this “never normal”. Purpose that is lived authentically in an organization ignites employee potential; helps companies push beyond boundaries; and deepens supply chain, customer, and consumer relationships. New, more inclusive business models are proactively considering possible consequential problems of products and services and are covering a wider range of stakeholder needs. If we focus on doing what is essential, we will be successful. Albert Einstein put it in a nutshell: "You have to make things as simple as possible. But not simpler." The future will be purpose-led. Are you ready? Interested in the topic? If you would like to delve deeper into the various facets of purpose, I will be holding full-day seminars in the course of this year as part of the Enkelfähigkeit®️ - Akademie und Eco System. Every decision we make shapes the path ahead—whether in the workplace, during strategic planning, or even in life’s unexpected moments. Yet, how often do we rely solely on instinct or habit, missing the opportunity to fully explore all perspectives? What if there was a way to systematically explore all angles of a situation and make better decisions? 🔑 Enter the Six Thinking Hats, a framework designed by Edward de Bono to help you think more effectively. This method teaches us to “switch hats” and approach challenges through six distinct lenses: ⚪ White Hat: Gather facts. What’s the data? What information do you have, and what do you need? 🔴 Red Hat: Embrace emotions. How does this make you feel? What does your intuition say? ⚫ Black Hat: Assess risks. What could go wrong? What are the potential weaknesses? 🟡 Yellow Hat: See opportunities. What are the benefits? Why could this idea work? 🟢 Green Hat: Think creatively. What innovative solutions or new perspectives can you bring? 🔵 Blue Hat: Structure your thinking. What’s the goal? What’s the next step? 💭 Why does this matter? In today’s fast-paced world, decisions often feel rushed. Using the Six Thinking Hats has taught me to pause and consider all perspectives. This approach has: -> Improved my critical thinking. -> Helped me approach challenges more creatively. -> Led to more confident and balanced decisions. Personally, this method has helped me move past overthinking and approach challenges with clarity and focus. By consciously “switching hats,” I’ve become more intentional in analyzing situations and less likely to get stuck in one mindset. It’s a tool that has transformed how I navigate both professional and personal decision-making. 📢 Let’s discuss! Which “hat” resonates most with you? How do you approach important decisions? Tag a colleague who could benefit from this framework! Save this post for when you need a reminder to think differently. 🌟 #DecisionMaking #LeadershipSkills #CriticalThinking #SixThinkingHats #ProblemSolving

Steady at the Helm: Maintaining Focus in a #Turbulent Business Landscape. The business world is rarely without its challenges. Unexpected events, market upheavals, and economic swings can disrupt even the best-laid plans. In such unpredictable times, sticking to a focused business plan is crucial for survival and success. Here are some important strategies to help you negotiate rough waters and keep your business on track: 1. Embrace #Agility over Abandonment: Turbulence does not mean abandoning your #strategy completely. However, it requires agility. Conduct regular reviews and analyses of market developments, competition actions, and customer demands. Prepare to adjust your methods in response to fresh knowledge, but don't lose sight of your overarching strategic aims. #Prioritize core competencies. When faced with distractions, refocus on your core competencies—the distinct skills and talents that set you apart from competitors. Invest resources in initiatives that capitalize on these capabilities and provide the most value to your consumers. This enables more efficient resource allocation and a clear focus on what is genuinely important. Encourage a #Culture of #Communication: During times of crisis, open and transparent communication is critical. Establish clear channels of communication between leadership and all levels of the organization. This enables everyone to stay informed, comprehend the changing circumstances, and participate in strategic decision-making. #Scenario Planning and Risk Management. Create robust contingency plans for a variety of possible scenarios. Anticipate probable disruptions, detect early warning indicators, and take proactive risk-mitigation actions. While you can't forecast everything, scenario planning allows you to react more efficiently and reduce the impact of unexpected events. Create a #Resilient Team: Your crew is your most important asset. Invest in your workforce's ability to communicate effectively, understand emotions, and solve problems. A resilient team is adaptable, resourceful, and can approach obstacles with a positive attitude. Embrace Innovation Turbulence can spur innovation. Investigate new prospects and revenue streams that respond to the shifting market scenario. Encourage creative thinking and experimentation among your teams. During challenging times, new ideas might yield the most effective results. Maintain a long-term perspective. While responding to immediate obstacles is critical, do not lose sight of your long-term goals. Ensure that your strategic modifications complement your long-term objectives and do not result in short-sighted mistakes that jeopardize future success. #maintainingfocus #holdingstrategytogether #strategy #focus

Ever wonder what a “day in the life” of a CEO looks like? 🤔 Last week, I flew out to Minneapolis for an advisory board meeting - a day packed with strategy, deep reflection, and conversations with some incredible minds. 💼 These meetings are critical moments where we take a step back from the daily grind and assess the bigger picture. We talk about everything from growth strategies to the challenges we face, the opportunities we see on the horizon, and how we can align our vision to make it all happen. It’s not all sunshine and rainbows though - advisory board meetings can stir up a lot of emotions. Some are great like motivation, excitement, but sometimes it can get a little stressful. It’s a powerful reminder that leadership isn’t just about making decisions - it’s about managing the rollercoaster of emotions that come with it. It’s about facing reality, taking responsibility, and making the tough calls that need to be made. After these intense strategy sessions, it’s important to decompress and build connections outside the boardroom. Moments like these remind me that while the work is essential, so is the balance. Creating space to unwind and bond outside of work not only builds team morale but also reminds us that we can have fun while reaching our goals. That’s why afterwards, it’s dinner, drinks, and some much-needed downtime. Then, it’s back to the airport and off to Boston. 🛫 The pace of being a CEO can be fast, but every trip, every meeting, and every conversation counts. What’s a typical day like for you as a professional? How do you manage the balance between high-pressure strategy sessions and taking time to recharge? #CEOlife #EntrepreneurLife #BusinessLeadership #AdvisoryBoard #TechCEO #BusinessStrategy #LeadershipInTech #ProfessionalGrowth #TeamCulture #WorkLifeBalance #BostonBound

Something I’ve learned over the years is that true impact often comes from operating beyond defined roles. Throughout my career, I’ve rarely stuck to the official title on my business card. Instead, I’ve moved fluidly between functions, levels, and dimensions, creating momentum, building bridges, and empowering people to navigate complexity. This fluidity has become more than a personal trait—it’s a skill that feels increasingly essential in today’s world. As organizations shift away from the rigid, industrial-era structures that are holding us back, we’re stepping into a new paradigm: one where adaptability and connection are key. But rethinking how we collaborate and co-create is just one part of the shift. We must also re-evaluate the roles and skills we need to thrive in this new landscape. The future of work is about more than changing processes; it’s about reframing who we need to be to lead, innovate, and adapt. The future calls for roles that don’t just embrace collaboration but enable it—roles like: ✨ 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘂𝗿 Trailblazers within the organization, intrapreneurs bring entrepreneurial thinking to established structures. They challenge the status quo, spot opportunities others might miss, and ensure organizations remain dynamic and future-focused. ✨ 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 In a world that thrives on networks, connectors build relationships across teams, functions, and even industries. They align ideas with purpose, creating the conditions for collaboration to flourish and ensuring that no connection goes untapped. ✨ 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗲𝗳 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗳𝗳 A role that has gained significant traction in recent years, the Chief of Staff serves as a strategic partner to leadership, aligning efforts across teams and ensuring that decisions are implemented effectively. They act as the glue that holds the organization’s vision and execution together. These roles reflect more than just titles—they symbolize a mindset shift. Moving forward, organizations need more than specialists; they need adaptive professionals who can see the big picture, bridge divides, and empower teams to act. As we consider the evolving landscape of work, I encourage you to reflect on these questions: 💡 What skills and roles do you see as essential in this new era? 💡 How can we create environments where adaptability, innovation, and collaboration thrive? The future isn’t built in silos—it’s co-created through shared purpose and connection. Wishing you a reflective and energizing weekend. Let’s continue building the future together. 🌟 #FridayReflections #Leadership #FutureOfWork #Innovation #HumanEra

In my previous post, I discussed three critical pitfalls that can significantly impact the success of transformation initiatives, one of them being cultural issues. 🤔 In today's changing business landscape, culture drives success more than business strategy - shaping how change is perceived, interpreted and experienced, acting as an invisible force guiding actions and decisions. Only 19% of New Zealand organizations believe they have the right culture to drive transformation (Deloitte 2023 Global Human Capital Trends report). Is your culture helping or hindering change? 🏃♀️ A transformation deficit is emerging, with increasing change volume and decreasing willingness to embrace change due to change fatigue and burnout. According to Gartner, 74% of employees in 2016 were willing to change their behaviour to support organisational transformation compared to 43% in 2023, with only 53% trusting their organisations. What are the signs of change fatigue in your organisation? 🤝 While Values are essential, trust forms the foundation of true transformation. In a polarized world, trust is the cornerstone of all human interaction, serving as the unseen glue that holds relationships together and inspiring people to extend themselves on their organisation's behalf. What role does trust play in your organisation? ❤️ Human behaviour is complex, influenced by evolutionary survival instincts, past experiences of betrayal and societal norms – all fostering caution and scepticism in trusting others. Trust is therefore earned, and requires transparency, honesty, and authenticity in interpersonal interactions - doing what you say and saying what you mean. How can we intentionally create lived experiences where these symbols of change are seen and felt, not just heard? 💫 Organisations must shift viewing culture as a static set of Values to a dynamic force that can be intentionally shaped and influenced by experiences. This involves prioritising people, nurturing relationships, and building trust through consistent actions and interactions. How can you actively reshape culture, rebuilding trust? 🌱 Understanding the invisible threads connecting individuals is crucial - relationship before partnership. Change resistance often arises not just from fear of the unknown, but from people feeling overwhelmed, unheard, and disconnected during ongoing change initiatives. How might we as leaders adopt a culture-first approach to transformation, going beyond traditional change management practices and reimagining workplace culture as a strategic asset to shape transformation success? #transformation #changeleadership #culturechange

𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗰 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗧𝗼 𝗖𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 The path to high performance may seem simple, but it's far from easy. While many organizations seek consultants to enhance team performance, few consistently apply the fundamental principles that drive success. Why? Because simplicity doesn't equate to ease, you need to make a dedicated and consistent effort. Achieving sustainable performance demands unwavering motivation and reinforcement, and sometimes, 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗽𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗹𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝘀𝗲𝗲𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗼𝗻𝗲'𝘀 𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺'𝘀 𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀. These are some of the foundational principles that lay the groundwork for a high-performing team: ✅ 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆: Progress isn't about intense bursts of effort leading to burnout—it's about consistent, aligned steps toward shared values. Small, regular actions compound into significant gains over time. 🔸 Refrain from incorporating changes one after another and expecting your team to perform. Instead, make small changes, review results, and seek feedback from the team. This will help your team value consistency. ✅ 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗙𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀: True toughness isn't about quick fixes; it's about making the right decisions in challenging moments. 🔸 When the situation needs immediate fixing, provide solutions and rectify it, but do not expect the problem to be solved. Discuss with your team and come up with long-term solutions. This will help your team understand that problems require critical thinking more than immediate solving. ✅ 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝗿𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲: Confidence is built on evidence, while arrogance stems from insecurity—Foster confidence within your team by trusting their capabilities, leaving no room for arrogance to undermine collaboration. 🔸 Emphasize the importance of data-driven decision-making instead of relying solely on input from selected individuals. This will help your team see that your actions focus more on data than biases. ✅ 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗵 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀: Dedication to depth fosters real mastery, while shallow pursuits prioritize quantity over quality. 🔸 Meaningful results and excellent service demand a focus on quality rather than quantity. Coach the team to seek long-term results instead of focusing solely on achieving numbers. As leaders, embody these principles and rewrite your team's performance narrative. Prioritize consistency, resilience, confidence, and depth. Lead with Intention and empower each member to shine. How are you coaching your teams to reach new heights of success? #highperformance #leadership #teamsuccess Image Credit: Tim Ellis
