Driverless taxi cabs, or robotaxis, long thought to be "just a few years away," have arrived, deployed by a handful of big American companies on the roads of a small but growing number of American cities. There are more than 280 million registered cars in the U.S., and they spend more than 95% of their time parked, on average. When those cars are in motion, most of them are contributing to the quarter of U.S. air pollution caused by the transportation sector. Those are the twin opportunities for the robotaxi industry, its supporters say. "This shared mobility model then enables people to more easily access other safe and sustainable transit options, like public transit, cycling, and biking; but we also anticipate driving alongside human-operated vehicles for years to come." #autonomousvehicles #robotaxi #emissionsreduction

Greetings. ~ Debunking the thinking that Taxis are expensive. ~ There is a wonderful saying; Never get into a Rat-race, Because, If you're First, you're still a RAT ! ___________________ Many have, are and will be calling out for the Demise of the Taxi Industry... simply due to lack of knowledge of the industry and the others are blind sided with their own projects that they spruik providing their services cheaper then others even before taking the first baby step in the real world. For instance; (1.) #Rideshare will destroy the #Taxi Industry.... and now have #Taxis as an option on their platforms. How about Surge pricing, ask those who have been taken for a Ride with that. (2.) #AirTaxis will be cheaper then #Rideshare and will put normal Taxis out of business. We wish them financial survival and certification of safety to provide services and hope to see their fares race to the bottom. Both are heavily claiming to be the saviours of traffic congestion. 🤔😁 We have another #transport service provider, the #Robotaxi industry. Elon Musk has claimed to have his #CyberTaxi as cheap as a #Bus fare. SURPRISE: Currently there is a #RoboTaxi provider whose services are WAY MORE higher then the average Taxi / Rideshare Fares and are creating milestones after milestones with increasing numbers of paid trips. Check this article; Study Finds Self-Driving Waymos Are More Expensive Than Taxis, Take Twice as Long to Get to Destination https://lnkd.in/gksMy3Yc As we see now the race is in collaborative efforts in signing up partnerships between numerous #Rideshare and the increasing numbers of #RoboTaxis service providers. Getting rid of the Driver and yet a service with higher price !! Note; Passengers flocking in droves with excitement. ???. We would love to see a race to the bottom with their fares...NOT higher. So what's the catch ??..... Please anyone. Thanks. _____________________ #VW #VWIDBuzzAD #VWIDBuzzAutonomous #VWCV #Autonomous #SelfDriving #TeslaRoboTaxi #RoboShuttle #RoboVans #RoboTrucks #SFD #Electric #Hydrogen #Drivers #Xpeng #XpengAeroht #Zeekr #Nio #Xiaomi #MG #GM #Cruise #ShuttleServices #Moia #MayMobility #MaaS #MobilityasaService #AAM #UAM #AirShips #SeaGliders #Airport #RideshareDrivers #TaxiDrivers #H2X #Canoo #WeRide #Perth #WesternAustralia #DepartmentofTransport #purpose #stewardownership ##purposeeconomy

Who can forget when Batman made his iconic entry in a sleek, futuristic electric Batmobile. Audience went crazy seeing this futuristic feat! Did you know? Not a single unit of electric car has been sold yet and it is still a Billion-Dollar industry. I am talking about flying cars. Recently, Bangalore International Airport Limited partnered with Sarla Aviation to launch electric flying taxis. I am not amazed. Being unicorn hub of India, Bangalore, of course, needs innovation to tackle traffic heads-on! But an amazing fact is, flying cars have not yet ‘made it’ into the market & they are still manifesting BILLIONS in market valuation! How come? Market Attraction! Giving out my #Rajspective here: As per our analysis at Coherent Market Insights, the flying car industry saw US$ 2.5 bn investments in 2023 & expects US$ 153 bn by 2035. This'll be majorly from funding & investment rather than sales. For example, Alef signed a mass manufacturing agreement with PUCARA Aero & MYC for aviation-grade parts for their electric flying car, the Model A. Similarly, Volocopter secured US$ 182 million in a Series E funding round to support the certification & launch of its air taxi services. If the investment is at such large scale, imagine the returns. Or the question is, will there be returns? I mean, of course, there are multiple pros of commercializing flying electric cars. They’d reduce commute times significantly. Flying cars will disrupt not just aviation industry but urban mobility. For example, instead of 10-minutes, quick commerce might run on 5-minutes delivery model. eCommerce industry might start same-hour delivery. Who knows? And, I can list out many of industries it can disrupt. But I believe the market attraction is a bubble of hype with less consideration on time-to-market. 🟢 Regulatory Approvals: Strict regulations are needed to ensure safety standards. It may take years to develop a solid regulatory framework for flying cars. 🟢 Cost of Production: Flying cars require advanced technology, making them expensive to produce and sell. 🟢 Infrastructure Development: Cities will need to build vertiports for take-off & landing areas. Automobile companies may face challenges if cities are slow to adopt this infrastructure. 🟢 Public Acceptance: It might take time for people to trust & embrace flying cars as a safe mode of transport. 🟢 Competition: Traditional automobile companies could face competition from tech companies & startups that are focusing solely on flying cars. For sure, there is a renewed interest in flying cars among consumers & investors alike on how the future will pan out on road less travel. Do you think flying cars will be in operations by 2025? I think flying cars are still a part of fiction & it will still take a long time to draw any resemblance to it for general use. #FlyingCars #UrbanMobility #FutureOfTransportation #SmartCities #AviationDisruption #NextGenTransport
