Assalamualaikum wr. wb., Peace be upon us all, Om Swastyastu, Namo Buddhaya, and Greetings of virtue. Hello everyone! My name is Wahyu Pratama Putra Cholid, and I am part of Group EXXON with attendance number 04. Today, I would share the invaluable insights and lessons I've gained from my experience in LAKSAMANA I 2023/2024. This program has been a transformative journey, enriching me with knowledge, skills, and perspectives that I will used in my academic and professional. One of the most lessons I gained from LAKSAMANA is the importance of proper etiquette and professionalism. Learning how to present myself and conduct myself in various situations has been a pivotal step in my personal growth. Furthermore, I acquired practical insights into leadership viewing it not merely as a concept but as a tangible practice. The skills I developed, from effective communication to making decisions under pressure, have equipped me with a stronger foundation to lead with confidence and purpose. The program offered me valuable technical insights that align perfectly with my career goals. I acquired skills in crafting an impressive CV that distinguishes me in today’s competitive job market. Additionally, I learned how to develop a strong personal branding platform, an essential resource for enhancing my presence and credibility in the professional world. Beyond honing my technical skills, LAKSAMANA inspired me to focus on personal growth as well. I came to appreciate the significance of social skills, from engaging in meaningful conversations and sustaining connections with other people. Additionally, I refined my public speaking abilities, an area I've always been eager to improve. Whether addressing a crowd or articulating ideas clearly, these experiences have greatly enhanced my confidence. One important insight I've gained is the enhancement of my critical thinking skills. Through LAKSAMANA, I encountered real-world scenarios that challenged me to analyze problems, assess potential solutions, and make informed decisions. This sharpened ability to think critically and solve problems effectively gives me confidence that it will serve me well in both my academic pursuits and professional endeavors. Finally, I gained a deeper understanding of the Petroleum Engineering organization at Pertamina University. This has been an eye opener in many ways, as it gave me insight into how organizations valuable they are for personal development. Participating in organizations is not only about teamwork but also about learning how to collaborate, take on responsibilities, and contribute meaningfully to a shared goal. Overall, my experience with LAKSAMANA I 2023/2024 has been truly the significance of learning for to stepping beyond my comfort zone to take on new challenges. I am immensely grateful for the knowledge, experiences, and connections I have made throughout this program.

pt2: When looking for a job, candidates have no clue about what going on with their applications. as a candidate I would like to have a board where I can check my progress and have a big picture on all the applications status and tasks without writing down everything by trying to organize my job search journey by myself.

[One Week One Sharing pt 13] Ok so this is not exactly one week ago. This is a month or two ago hahaha Anyway I was invited by mbak Shenia Angelina Tanuwijaya. She is a member of Sampaimahir.com community. Thank you for making this CV review and career talk possible. Sometime ago, I saw an infographic of a survey conducted by Jobstreet to find out what recruiters look for in a fresh graduate candidate. Top 2 reasons were "pengalaman kerja" dan "pengalaman magang" during college years. This is not a new information, as I`ve been a user myself. Basically this just confirms of what I already know what fellow recruiters look for in any candidates. Usually in a CV review I would ask them to put working experience at the top (right after overview/profile or whatever). But I make one exception, and this is one of them... Mbak Shania is a 25 years master degree graduate from a very respectable university in Indonesia. I can tell from the moment we talked she is a smart and very educated young woman. Although, she scarcely have any formal working experience during her time in university. Master degree, for me, is nothing to be scoffed at. While hardly a be and end- all, it`s one of those things that gives you advantage over other candidates. It`s a differentiation, a way to make yourself stand out. I would always say, not everyone has the opportunity to earn a master degree. Although, I would also argue that working experience is more important than a master degree (in context of looking for a job in industry). What do you think? Which one gets you the job? Twelve years ago, when I was a freshman in chemical engineering, PT. Saipem was my top choice for my future. I was eager to discuss it with friends, but most students preferred the well-known state-owned oil and gas companies. Now, as a graduate student, I was excited to learn that Saipem was visiting my campus, and I couldn't miss their presentation! The event was filled with enthusiasm. The president director started by saying, "I hope you don't get sleepy during our presentation because it might be quite long," and encouraged us to ask questions without hesitation. But then, there was a flood of questions, and we ran out of time. This was expected, given our campus aligns well with Saipem's business, and the presentation was very informative and engaging. They covered their impressive range of successful projects, company systems, development levels, and commitment to diversity. We were impressed by Saipem's openness to hiring anyone with the right skills and determination, regardless of gender or ethnicity, especially in a competitive job market. For me, the most impressive part was their numerous patents. It shows that even after leaving the academic environment, continuous learning and innovation are essential. To be truly valuable, we must always seek knowledge and apply it effectively. During the Q&A session, the engineering manager remarked, "I don't think we need to worry about them being shy to ask questions; they are eager to learn more." 😁 #CareerTalks #EngineeringFuture #Saipem
