It was just a matter of time before the big digital providers disrupt Primary Health and Diagnostic Services. A very interesting article by Sai Balasubramanian, M.D., J.D. Our report on Digital Health Transformation is prescient in many ways https://rb.gy/goxe7l Gerry Bloom Lewis Husain Anabel Marin . There is an increasing need to look at how the private digital health sector is beginning to shape both health systems and markets. Will this make health care access more equitable, and affordable?

Welcome to 2025! And nothing says new year like predictions... in this case, about Patient Experience. A lot of folks talked about AI... which I agree will keep expanding. I went with Telehealth (of course), as everyone is complaining about how hard it is to get to a doctor these days- and AI cannot yet prescribe nor make a final judgement... so getting to a doctor easily remains one of life's greatest pursuits! My quote: "Health systems will seek to increase patients’ access to virtual care options as a means of widening their digital front doors and catering to consumer demand for convenient care options, including on-demand 24×7 virtual urgent care. Studies show that patients often prefer telehealth over in-office visits for both routine and minor issues as well as chronic disease management, and health systems will increasingly understand that they must expand their virtual care capacity to attract and retain more patients." #Telehealth #VirtualCare #PatientExperience #DigitalFrontDoor KeyCare

Has virtual healthcare lived up to its pandemic promises? Virtual healthcare surged during the pandemic but faced challenges as in-person care resumed, leading to a 45.8% drop in telehealth visits from 2020 to 2022. Telehealth remains popular for mental health, substance use disorder treatments, and chronic disease management through remote patient monitoring. However, it has been less effective for surgical and medical specialists. The digital therapeutics market faces financial difficulties, highlighting the need for better reimbursement models. Future trends include advancements in virtual inpatient care and the use of generative AI to support telehealth providers. #virtualhealthcare #telehealth #telemedicine #healthcare #AI

We look forward to working with Congress to secure longer-term certainty for critical #telehealth flexibilities before the next deadline at the end of March. The ATA and ATA Action were well represented at the U.S. House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Health hearing, which addressed 15 #telehealth bills set to expire on 12/31. Eve Cunningham MD MBA, Providence testified that telehealth is now “a core function of healthcare delivery,” and Ateev Mehrotra, Harvard Medical School urged #Congress to permanently eliminate site-location requirements. We couldn’t agree more on both counts! As we continue to seek permanent access to virtual care services, we greatly appreciate the Health subcommittee and our bipartisan Congressional champions for their continued support of telehealth.
