A good manager: 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡! We know that truly impactful leaders aren’t just bosses; they’re coaches. The best managers open up the lines of communication, blending structured feedback with spontaneous conversations to keep development front and center. By offering focused, constructive feedback, they empower their team to stay aligned with long-term goals. Employees want to know where they stand, how their performance is perceived, and how it shapes their career trajectory. Yet, only a third of employees worldwide feel like someone in their company genuinely cares about their growth and ambitions. Imagine if that number doubled – we’d see 11% higher profitability, 6% greater customer satisfaction, and 28% lower absenteeism, according to Gallup. Ready to boost your team’s engagement and your bottom line? Let’s create a culture where everyone has the coaching they need to succeed. 🌟

Think about all the change your organization needs to make right now. Does it feel heavy, like an uphill battle you're not sure you have the strength to climb? How are you going to reach your goals and achieve success? Coaching. Reaching goals usually requires some kind of behavior change. Behavior change is by far one of the hardest things to cultivate in an organization. This is where coaching comes in. Let's talk about the ROI of coaching. A Metrix Global study found an ROI of 788% for executive coaching. https://lnkd.in/gMztPNuG The ICF Global Coaching Study reported a median ROI of 7 times the initial investment. https://lnkd.in/gFX5rXt7 Key benefits that contribute to ROI include: 🔹Increased employee engagement and productivity 🔹Improved leadership skills and decision-making 🔹Enhanced employee retention 🔹Higher job satisfaction 🔹Better problem-solving and conflict resolution 🔹Increased innovation and creativity But the biggest thing I love about coaching is the ability to create a personalized strategy for each client and each employee. When you approach complex organizational issues you have to make sure each employee is getting what they need and the best way to do this is through coaching. Yes, it's an investment. But it's an investment with an ROI you can't ignore. Looking for a coach? or Looking to turn things around in your business? For various reasons, I like spending my weekends studying, and this time, I completed the course "Coaching and Developing Employees". I became passionate about coaching and leadership. In a fast-changing world, leaders must evolve from directing tasks to coaching teams and fostering learning, creativity, and development. Proper coaching is about listening, asking open-ended questions, and creating a space where people and teams can grow, take ownership of their work, and develop their potential. The course challenges common myths, such as "coaching is handholding," "there's no time for coaching," and "If I develop my people, I risk losing them." On the contrary, investing in coaching is inspirational, enhances engagement, builds trust, and drives results. Coaching helps foster a growth-oriented organisational culture for business success and personal development. I like imagining a future where every conversation is an opportunity for growth. The principles I studied today will allow me to experiment with new ways to engage with others.

Cultivate a Coaching Culture in your company to drive team and individual performance and employee retention and engagement. Coaching is not the same as advising or mentoring. In these roles, you tap into YOUR expertise and wisdom to share it with the other person. A coach recognizes that the other person is already whole, resourceful, and capable. So the coach taps into THEIR expertise and wisdom to create better results. The next time someone comes to you with a question, try coaching rather than solving. You can open with some great questions such as: -What is the real challenge here? -How can I help? -How will you know you have the right answer? -What have you already tried/considered? -What's missing that would help you solve this? Maintain the coaching presence. Most of the time, your team asks questions, not because they don't know or are incapable of figuring it out - but because they need assurance, validation, support, etc. Are you ready to adopt and master a coach approach to leadership? Let's talk! https://lnkd.in/gqwqCbj5

💭 It is easy as a manager to get caught up in the work and lose sight of the people. Many managers start out as an individual contributor. They learn a role, grow in the role, add value which gets them noticed and put on the manager track. Now they are a manager but have the mindset of an individual contributor. There is no how to be a manager 101. Sure, there are great books, podcasts and mentors you can find but the best way to learn how to manage people is to do it on the job. Managers who want to succeed as in have high performing teams that are in engaged in their work they must prioritize their people. In the beginning that may mean getting behind on your own deliverables in order to ensure your team is working on the right things and have the tools they need to do the job. This is a mindset shift. 🧠 To be a top performing individual contributor you are managing yourself and ensuring you are getting the work done on time. When you step into a manager role you need to shift that mindset. It is no longer as much about the work you do but the work your team does. It is not about you. 😯 This is why sometimes those top performing individual contributors should stay in those roles rather than go into management track. Being a manager is all about your people. ⭐ Listening ⭐ Spending time (one-on-one). ⭐ Coaching ⭐ Having the difficult conversations so they can grow and succeed. Then when time allows you work on your deliverables. All this to say I wish someone would have told me this before I became a manager at 28. I was not ready. I cringe thinking about some of the things I did and said but I have learned a lot since then. If nothing else know that if you manage people your role is not about you, it is about your people. Be the leader that can look back and have a list of people you can tell stories about how you helped develop them and they grew their careers. On today’s episode of myth-busting: ❌ Coaching is the same as therapy ✅ While coaching can have therapeutic effects by increasing self-awareness and reducing stress, it is fundamentally different from therapy. Therapy often focuses on resolving past issues and improving emotional and psychological well-being. Coaching, on the other hand, is oriented towards goal setting and performance enhancement in the professional context. ❌ Coaching is only for top executives ✅ There’s a misconception that coaching is reserved for CEOs or other high-level leaders. In fact, coaching can be beneficial at all levels, from emerging leaders and mid-level managers to individual contributors who wish to advance their careers. ❌ The results of coaching are difficult to measure ✅ Some believe that the impact of coaching is too intangible to quantify. However, many coaching outcomes can be measured through specific metrics related to job performance, achievement of goals, team productivity, and employee engagement. Clear objectives at the onset of coaching can help in measuring its effectiveness. #excellenceiscontagious #executivecoaching

4moI could not agree more! A good manager is a coach and a mentor. Most of the people can follow their own metrics and numbers. Coaching should be about so much more than just following up KPIs. When a manager cares about the real growth and development - people will automatically perform more🌟
