Tonight (8PM PST) I'll be live streaming as I code up a streamlit app for interactively playing around with local embedding models, as part of the "Build Your Own (Local) AI Assistant" course (https://lnkd.in/gnHg-HzH). We'll embed our document chunks, and see how our queries fit into this embedding space. With this, we can gain some intuition and compare embedding models.

🌟 Exciting Hackathon Experience 🌟 I am thrilled to share my recent experience at the "Hello GPT-4o AI Hackathon", where I had the pleasure of collaborating with an incredible team: Michael Lively, Hira Khalid, Samira Liaqat, and Bilal Raza. Together, we embarked on a unique challenge, focused on enhancing the interaction between users and Artificial Intelligence, specifically targeting the prompts and responses generated by ChatGPT. Our innovative project aimed to improve the quality of prompts provided by users and the corresponding completions generated by the assistant. We developed an application that evaluates AI responses based on the initial prompts, providing a detailed grading system. This grading system serves as a rubric to assess the quality of the completion and offers insights for prompt improvement. The application not only identifies areas for enhancement but also suggests ways to refine the prompts to achieve better, more accurate responses from the AI. Participating in this hackathon was an incredible learning experience. It allowed us to dive deep into the intricacies of AI-human interaction and work on a solution that could potentially benefit a wide range of users. The collaborative effort, creative problem-solving, and technical skills we brought together as a team made this project truly special and memorable. A huge shoutout to iCodeGuru for introducing me to the world of hackathons. This platform has been instrumental in building my confidence and providing opportunities to learn, grow, and compete at an international level. Through the guidance of Sir Zafar Shahid, PhD and Sir Rizwan Ghaffar, I have gained valuable experience and am now more prepared than ever to take on global competitions and showcase our innovative solutions to the world. #Hackathon #AI #ChatGPT #TeamWork #Innovation #Collaboration #GlobalCompetitions

💥 LangChain now supports xAI's Grok models! This integration allows users to interact with Grok models using LangChain's tools. To get started, install the package with `%pip install --upgrade langchain-xai`. You'll need an API key, which can be set as an environment variable `XAI_API_KEY` or passed directly as a parameter. This setup allows for both streaming and non-streaming interactions with the model. xAI enters the game! 🔗 API Reference: https://lnkd.in/eMnV2vDe ⤵ Helpful? 🚀 Thrilled to share that Amith Ramaswamy and I participated in the Google AI Hackathon! This experience was not only enriching but also a great test of our abilities to harness the power of AI with tools like Vertex AI and Gemini 1.5 Pro. 🔧 Despite neither of us being front-end developers, we managed to build an engaging and interactive front end using Streamlit. It’s amazing how the right tools can amplify your capabilities! 🤝 A huge shoutout to Amith Ramaswamy for being an incredible teammate. The synergy we had really pushed the limits of what we could achieve in such a short time. 👉A big shoutout to Devpost for organizing such incredible hackathons. #GoogleAIHackathon #VertexAI #GeminiPro #Streamlit #Teamwork #AI #MachineLearning #Devpost

Couchbase powering an AI trivia game over phone calls? Yes, that's right! Thanks to the Twilio hackathon running on Devto, I built a Node.js app that uses the Twilio Voice and SMS APIs for interaction, OpenAI GPT-4o for question generation, and Couchbase for storing user data, user scores and caching all questions to make sure only unique questions are asked. You can check out a demo, find the link to the GitHub repo and learn more about how all these services come together in the blog post. https://lnkd.in/ebQVDsiy
