It's with a heavy heart that I share the news about Paytm's recent announcement of potential layoffs, impacting 5,000 to 6,300 employees. This decision comes amid a broader crisis that has put significant pressure on the company. For those affected, please know that the community stands with you during this challenging time. It's essential to lean on your network for support, whether it's through reaching out for job leads, sharing opportunities, or simply offering a listening ear. If you're in a position to help, consider reaching out to those impacted with resources, job openings, or just words of encouragement. Together, we can navigate these turbulent times and emerge stronger. For anyone needing support or looking to connect with others in a similar situation, LinkedIn remains a valuable platform for networking and finding new opportunities. Let's use this space to support each other and foster resilience. I don't usually offer referrals to everyone, but if you are impacted by these layoffs, I can make an exception for you and potentially refer you to opportunities at PayPal. Stay strong, and remember that every challenge is an opportunity for growth and new beginnings. 🙏 🙏 #Paytm #layoffs #communitysupport #jobsearch #networking #resilience #career #jobs

Is it the right time to join Paytm? 🤔 numbers might look tempting, but it's important to think twice before joining, especially with the recent tech news about Paytm. ✅ This doesn’t just apply to Paytm; when considering any company, you should keep in mind factors like: - Tech stack - Ease of switching jobs later - What happens if they do layoffs? - Notice period - Work-life balance (obviously) There are many other personal preferences, but remember, "even a small decision can have a big impact in the long run." Feel free to mention companies you think are risky to join or where balancing life and work is challenging in the comments.👇 #paytm #worklifebalance #seniorsoftwareengineer #compensation

Do you know what's the worst thing about loss-making startups or businesses? When they start building a business, their motive is growth, and once they get enough funding, they overhire. Then, when they begin their path toward profitability, the first thing they do is fire employees. The ones responsible for growth earlier are suddenly a liability and are laid off because of cost-cutting and path-to-profit measures. Recently, Paytm announced over 5,000 layoffs expected amid a push for efficiency. It's extremely important for employees to constantly upskill and assess market conditions for their well-being—mentally, emotionally, and financially

Hello everyone, I’m excited to share that I’m on the lookout for my next opportunity! It’s been just over 6 months since my last day at PayPal. Like many colleagues, I was affected by the February layoffs. While the end of a chapter in this way was unexpected, the truth is I was ready for a new direction. Make no mistake, my nearly 13 years at PayPal were truly incredible, and I still consider it an outstanding company to work for. I spent the first 1.5 years in Marketing before transitioning to CX analytics within the customer service business unit. Over the subsequent 11+ years, I focused on supporting our highly successful VOC program. It was a dynamic, challenging, and immensely rewarding experience that allowed me to collaborate with talented individuals across nearly every business unit and I’m deeply grateful for everything we accomplished together. I was also very fortunate to work with a series of remarkable leaders, each with their own approach to guiding, motivating and developing their teams. In order of when I started, I want to extend my gratitude to Marion Dickson, Lauren Fusco, Amy Hannesson, Paul Kim, and Mark Heap for their stellar leadership. I also owe much of my success to the talented colleagues who reported to me over the years, including Mukundan A K, Gurucharan Seshadri, Ashwani Kumar, Jason Jones, and Anchit Kumar. You are all amazing talents! If you’re wondering what I’ve been up to the past 6 months, well it has been an amazing journey! Aside from the obvious need for reflection and restoration, I dedicated the first 2.5 months to healthy living, namely eating better and previously unseen dedication to the gym and an active lifestyle. That prepared me for 2 months of epic travel with my wife, visiting 7 destinations spanning 4 countries. Since our return, it’s been about reconnecting with friends, family and volunteering our time. I’ll also admit this has been a “test and learn” for myself to see what retirement looks like and assessing our preparedness. If I seem a bit nonchalant, you might be correct but it doesn’t take a wizard to complete this sequence (representing my career): 13 years at American Express, 13 years at PayPal, X years at Y company I’ll bet X=13 and as for Y, hoping my LinkedIn network can help solve that one! 😃 Please let me know if you or someone you know is looking for a proven analytic leader and problem solver. A final heartfelt thank you to everyone I worked with at PayPal!
