In this turbulent global markets, oil and energy markets movements are great indicators for a forecast. Privileged as ever to be featured as a speaker at the Gulf Insights Energy talk in the presence of esteemed panelists from across the world Gulmira Rzayeva and Jose Chalhoub and expertly moderated by Frank Kane . Key points ; 1) Ongoing COP29 in Azerbaijan , despite initial hiccups and lack of presence of many global leaders, has a role to play in the global energy transition. It might need a restructured format 2) USA election results can play a dampener on the transition efforts. 3) India's energy transition road map remains unchanged , balancing the need for fossil fuels to drive the economic growth and the need for lowering carbon footprint. LNG will play the role of the "crucial fuel" in the transition path. 4) USA election results have been treated positively in India despite threats to the global trade. 5) Outlook for oil prices are neutral to bearish due to subdued demand forecast, especially in China and steady supplies. Thanks Gulf Intelligence , Medilyn Singh and Sean Killian Evers for the invitation.
