India is running fastest in terms of becoming biggest consumer market of Gaming industry with 28% CAGR during FY20-23. US and China showed growth at 9% and 7% respectively for same time period. While India showing such massive growth in terms of gaming userbase, people aren't that aware about future of career in this industry as compared to other growing industries. Modiji's interaction with Indian gamers will definitely give massive boost to Indian Gamers community as well as Game Developers community. As Modiji showed interest, asked issues and gave suggestions, it will definitely encourage more Indians to come into this industry and make content as well as Create Indian Games. I as a game developer feels greatly backed up and encouraged. My only humble request to Modiji's is to have "Indian Game Market Place" like google play store, so that we (Indian developers) don't have to rely on foreign companies to sell our games to Indian users. Indian gamers are generating more wealth than Indian Cricketers! A recent report revealed that India is home to 590 million online gamers, collectively generating a revenue of $3.8 billion, which is 72% higher than what the BCCI earned in FY 24. Surprisingly, 66% of these gamers come from non-metro cities. And with continued growth in sponsorships and in-app purchases, India's gaming industry is predicted to reach $9.2 billion by 2029. The main reason for this growth is affordable internet access, which has made online gaming accessible to millions of Indians. And unlike traditional sports, online games offer multiplayer options allowing players to connect and meet new people from every corner of the globe. And as esports is gaining recognition as a professional sport, it’s becoming a legitimate career option for many. 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮 𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲? Every Battle Royale fan is wondering: "𝙒𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙁𝙧𝙚𝙚 𝙁𝙞𝙧𝙚 𝙧𝙚𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙣?" It is one of the most anticipated upcoming games for Indian audiences. Here are some highlights we wanted to share with you: • Free Fire India was supposed to come out on September 5, 2023, but it's been delayed a lot. • This game is a special version of the popular Free Fire game, made just for India. • Why a new version? The original Free Fire was banned in India in early 2022 because the government was worried about data privacy. • To fix this, Garena did two big things: -> They made a deal with the Uttar Pradesh government. -> They're working with an Indian company to keep player data safe in India. • Garena did a lot to get people excited: -> They got famous sports stars to promote the game. -> Some of these stars are Sunil Chettri (football), Leander Paes (tennis), Saina Nehwal (badminton), and Rahul Chaudhari (kabaddi). • But then, just one day before the game was supposed to come out, Garena said they needed to delay it by "a few more weeks." It's been months, and we still don't know when the game will launch. • Garena says they're taking more time to improve the game and finish making it work for India. • This might mean they're still working on moving all the player data to servers in India. What do you think about all this? Are you waiting for Free Fire India? Let us know in the comments! Follow us for more esports content. From our inception, we've always set our sights high, aiming to revolutionize how the spectators engage with their favourites sports. Our mission was clear from the start: to innovate relentlessly. The turning point came when we introduced LIVE Gaming on our platform. The reception from Indian sports fans was nothing short of electrifying. It was a clear signal that the audience wasn't content with just watching the games—they were eager to leap into the fray and become a part of the spectacle. Their enthusiasm has been overwhelming and speaks volumes. It has propelled us beyond our original identity as game developers to pioneers in game research. At SportsBaazi, we're not just creating games; we're crafting rich, immersive experiences that allow fans to interact with sports in ways previously unimagined. As we continue our journey, our commitment remains unwavering: to keep innovating and to redefine the way fans engage with sports. The road ahead is filled with potential, and we're excited to explore every turn. Join us as we continue to explore and shape the future of spectator engagement. Sports Entertainment Guaranteed. Our mission to build India’s first spectator games universe for the Gen-Z has led us down the path of continous innovation. To an extent that today, we identify ourselves more as a game research company than a game development company. Indian sports fans got introduced to the world of prediction markets on SportsBaazi last year and the response has been nothing short of extraordinary. What excites us the most is the fact that while the number of engaging fans doubled up, the average time spent on the app also jumped by 2.4X. Onwards & upwards! #SpectatorGamingRevolution #SportsBaazi #India #SportsFans

Are our youngsters building the nation or just getting lost in the world of video games? With the recent surge in gaming across India, particularly among young women, it’s clear that gaming has become a major part of the lives of many. Reports show that women now make up 41% of the 600 million gamers in India, and non-metro areas are witnessing a notable increase in gaming activity. Esports and casual gaming have become more accessible, and more young Indians are spending significant time in virtual worlds. But this brings up a critical question: Are we harnessing this digital shift to build a stronger, more skilled nation? Or are we risking our Viksit Bharat 2047 vision by allowing this generation to spend their prime years on entertainment rather than contributing to India’s growth? This is an alarming situation I feel for our nation.

***India’s Gaming Revolution: Unleashing Massive Potential*** India typically gets compared with China in every aspect and so is Gaming Industry. Apart from India, there are 3 other big markets in Gaming in Asia, which are China, South Korea & Japan. I have put down some statistics for comparison in all these four markets on the Gaming industry. What is important to note is that 93% of India’s Gaming(some reports say 97%) is on Mobiles. Flipping the other way, which also means that India has a huge potential left for Esports(PC Gaming) and a robust ecosystem is getting built around the Esports. Globally Esports is very big and the prize money runs into millions of dollars($30M for fortnight world cup 2019). Esports is also in consideration to be added as an Olympic sport. Gamers evolve, starting with causal mobile games and as they evolve they look forward for a better performance and experience and so they upgrade for better gaming gear and slowly transition to playing competitive Esports. India is in the middle of this transition. Though we are far away from our other Asian neighbors, post covid our pace of growth has far exceeded the other countries. Having said all of the above, the question still to be asked is: Can India overcome the challenge of “Study first approach”? [Prioritize your studies first, gaming can happen during free time] and become the biggest Esports market in Asia in the next 5~7 years ? Let me know your views in the comments below ?? #Auklet #Esports #Gaming #PCGaming
