🌍 IDI Conference 2024: ESG in the distribution and retail chain – WORKSHOP 2 Environment Social Governance (ESG) is becoming an issue that companies have to handle in most jurisdictions. Although the relevant rules and provisions mostly concern the supply chain (i.e. on the procurement side), in fact, they also affect the distribution systems and networks. The greatest difficulties arise from the lack of specific explanatory and applicative rules that should help companies to orient themselves to this matter. 📣 NEW PUBLICATION ALERT 📣 The latest IRSPM conference theme was devoted to #hybridity in the public sector, which is an increasing widespread phenomenon. In this new article on Public Management Review, co-authored with Giulia Cappellaro and Raffaella Saporito, we make three important contributions to advance the field: 1. We take stock of existing knowledge on public-private hybrid organizations (HOs) and pave the way for future research. 2. We develop and offer an organizational framework to guide future studies of HOs based on common core dimensions that consider both the environment in which HOs operate and their internal functioning.  3. We disentangle the construct of HOs from that of #PPPs. HOs share with PPPs a focus on having distinctive arrangements between public and private actors and spheres of activity; however, while such arrangements are typically contractual and project based in PPPs, HOs are primarily unitary organizations that govern the relationship between public and private spheres through formal governance mechanisms. ☘️ So glad to see an article stemming from my PhD thesis published in a top-tier public management journal, looking forward to receiving your feedback! 🆓 The first 50 copies can be downloaded for free at the link below: https://lnkd.in/dqShpyQh

Robust governance in turbulent times: successful panels at IRSPM😁 Rising societal turbulence forces public decisionmakers to adapt and innovate public governance to uphold core public goals, values and functions. This insight is intensely discussed in a stream of agenda-setting panels at the IRSPM conference in Tampere. The stream is organized by the EU Horizon ROBUST project. In the first panel, we had to bring in 10 extra chairs into an already packed seminar room to accommodate demand. It was like a Finish sauna, but the intellectual excitement about the new ideas was huge. Thanks for all for your presentations and interventions so far...
