Rapid rollout of clean technologies makes energy cheaper, not more costly ☀️ https://lnkd.in/g75P2PM6 From the article: "Speeding up the move to clean energy technologies improves the affordability of energy and can relieve pressures on the cost of living more broadly, according to a new International Energy Agency (IEA) special report released today.” 🧠 Our 2020 Rethinking Energy report similarly stated: "the exponential buildout of 100% solar, wind and battery (SWB) systems is already affordable and can begin immediately." (https://lnkd.in/gyu9Gaye) 4 years ago, our co-founder Tony Seba, similarly noted: “This is not an energy transition… This is a technology disruption. It is going to give us money back. It’s not going to cost money. We’re going to get money back." (last point of this 2020 presentation: https://lnkd.in/grU9ampx) 🚀As our electric power system are flipped from centralized, scarce and expensive resources to decentralized, superabundant and cheap resources, the ripple effects across our economies and societies will be even bigger than the disruption of energy itself... Those with the vision stand out for those open to the vision. The shared vision gains momentum and acceptance and disruption results. The disruptions now underway are as much forced by the global crisis killing us that was caused by us as by the remarkable and insightful work of Rethink-X. Momentum is building because this disruption involves everything we do. This is a disruptive paradigm shift. Seat backs and tray tables into the upright and locked position. Hint, those jobs are not where they used to be, nor are they doing what we used to do. We are witness to the dawn of a new era, and a collapse of what once was.
A Tony Seba told you so classic. Always worth a rewatch.

9moPeter Zeihan counter-argues that to effect the disruption to Energy Superabundance, the total global output of a number of Green Energy commodities (copper, lithium, nickel, cobalt, etc.) would need to double, and perhaps (in some cases) double again... with no such doubling of output having ever happened in less than, I forget, perhaps twenty years. What is RethinkX's counter-argument? For God's sake, get Tony and Peter on the same stage at the same time, to have a cogent, respectful debate on these issues. Monk debate? Intelligence squared? Oxford Union? Or wherever?
