Fender Squier Affinity Series ACTIVE Jazz Bass - EXCELLENT VALUE! 🤘🎸🎸🤘 Squier, the entry-level brand for Fender Musical Instruments Corporation, has recently released an active, (YES, ACTIVE), Jazz bass as part of its Affinity Series. When we think about it, this is an active bass, loaded with several features, for an entry-level series as part of an entry-level brand. Loaded with ceramic NOISE CANCELLING single coils, eliminating that 60-cycle hum we bassists loath. Period block inlays and, a 9 volt active circuitry that really adds punch to the bass' tonal pallet. With a master volume, pickup blend, and concentric bass/treble cut and boost, this bass sells for about AUD $550. This represents exceptional value. And most of all, it comes in a colour option of Mystic (metallic) Sea Foam Green, that is currently found on the Fender American Professional II electric basses and electric guitars. If there's one thing missing, it would have been a separate volume for each pick up. Further, there is no passive switch to get you through a gig, in case the 9 volt battery dies. And it would be interesting to know the average lifespan of a 9 volt battery. Notwithstanding, for AUD $550 or so, this bass represents excellent value. And something that's good enough to gig with, but not that expensive should it get a ding or two, as you go stage diving to play in a sweat drenched mosh pit! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
