The terror attacks of October 7 created a nation-wide trauma in Israel which meant that demand for mental health services far outweighed the already limited resources. How can the healthcare system cope with trauma on that scale? what role can technology play in the treatment of trauma? how can we make treatment more personalized? What are the right (and wrong) use cases? Today I had the privilege of chairing a panel on the future of trauma healing at the ICAR Collective Summit in Tel Aviv. It's great to be on the questions asking side when you have such awesome panelists as Alona Barnea Shlomo Mendlovic Oded Arbel and Dekel Taliaz. Engaging discussion, lively disagreements and wealth of knowledge gave me a lot of food for thought. Thank you Gila Tolub for harnessing your tremendous experience, skills and energy to co-found the ICAR Collective and bring the entire ecosystem together around this important topic. aMoon Fund
Roy, your panel was one of my favorite parts of the summit—I loved the lively discussion and the thoughtful debate on the future of trauma healing. Great job leading the conversation!
Roy Thanks so much for running a great panel. The level of tech investment into the mental health-tech has mushroomed. And the vast majority are still in early stage. The dialogue between tech visionaries, financiers, the field is crucial to make the step change. The dynamic between (some might say tension) that you managed to bring to the panel is so reminiscent of other industries ripe for disruptive change. We are here to help bridge the gap! Thanks again!
