Using 12bit ADCs to limit quantization errors aids greatly in observing small signal details. The noise floor on the 7000A series is as low as 220μVrms at 4 GHz bandwidth and the waveform capture rate reaches 1 million wfm/s, ideal for capturing abnormal events.
