I’ve been teaching Pavilion's CRO School for nearly 5 years. The first cohort? Fall of 2020. Ten people. My living room in the West Village. Running it off a MacBook Air until Carly Pallis (now SVP of Member Experience—promoted last week!) finally convinced me to upgrade. Now, I’m writing this from Barcelona, listening to Spotify Discover Weekly, reflecting on the nearly 5,000 people who’ve gone through CRO School. What a ride! My session is about one thing: understanding enterprise value. Knowing whether a business is actually good. What unit economics really means. At its core, the question is simple: should you even be investing in growth? Because if the fundamentals are broken, growth won’t fix them. It’ll just expose them. Weston Gaddy put it best: “Growth is not a right but the privilege of companies with good unit economics.” If you’re growing, enjoy it. That window doesn’t stay open forever. And if you’re looking to sharpen your skills, dig into our Schools and Courses. CRO School starts again April 3. Enroll here: https://lnkd.in/erfYxSny
Here class of 2021. It has been proven to be a fundamental one. Unit economics is timeless. Build some friendships in the cohort that are priceless.
Sam Jacobs, fascinating journey from a living room to barcelona. growth without solid foundations is like building castles in quicksand. 🌱
From your living room to teaching thousands, it's so inspiring to see the impact you've made, Sam Jacobs.
I got an amazing onboarding from Pavilion members, truly exceptional network
Congrats Sam! Power of community and a great product right there. What is the number one thing CRO's should be focusing on in 2025?
The courses are top notch and the community is unbeatable. Thanks Sam!
Sam Jacobs I taught my (I think) 6th CMO school class today on "Where and How to Apply AI in GTM Workflows" and my session literally changes each quarter 🤣 It is insane how quickly my content gets stale given the pace of AI change. Keeps me on my toes for sure and it's a great forcing function for me to be constantly thinking about what is most impactful for GTM leaders in the current moment. Appreciate you and the Pavilion community for giving me the opportunity to teach as I truly love it ❤️
Growth isn’t a right, it’s a privilege earned through solid fundamentals.
Love the reminder that growth is a privilege and one that won't last forever Sam Jacobs!
