Imagine my undiluted and pleasant surprise to see my neighboring seat on a long flight from San Francisco to NYC occupied by the venerable data and analytics industry analyst (and the only one of his kind) Tony Baer. 5 hours passed by quickly with talk on agentic AI, data platforms, a few prurient thoughts on data quality, blues music, jazz clubs, fine Napa wine, open table formats, machine learning analytics, reminiscing on times in the analyst circuit with a colorful cast of delightful reprobates (some dear friends too and all talented), data vectorization, the merits of Mick Taylor vs. Ronnie Wood in the Rolling Stones (Mick of course), and more. Clearly we didn’t have a plan. Yes we got work done too! Always a pleasure connecting with you Sir.
Mick Taylor for sure. Exile on Main Street.
Wow!! What an exciting opportunity
After *literally* running around half of SFO, learning that my domestic flight was going out of the international terminal, what a surprise to find my old friend Sri Raghavan in the next seat. Time literally flew. For the record, Ronnie Wood over Mick Taylor!
Looking at your shirt, I’m thinking this is a poor deep fake… Hope you’re well buddy.
Hi Sri and Tony
There's a known 'meme' about where you would sit on a long flight. I would choose the sit next to this duo for sure!
Grouped in the same row....
Now I wish I was on the 5 hour flight!
