One of the most important components of an AI ecosystem is the technical infrastructure, or what is known as the technology stack. After studying the sources of these technologies, I found that they are primarily concentrated in three regions: the United States, China, and Europe. Upon deeper analysis, it became clear that both China and Europe rely on semiconductors and processors sourced from the United States, positioning the United States as the cornerstone of artificial intelligence. It is also evident that several countries aspire to become hubs for these technologies, such as Saudi Arabia, and we hope to see this happen, in addition to India. This further highlights the critical reliance on the United States for the technical infrastructure necessary to operate AI systems.

The era of the emergence of computers marked a phase where governments began to recognize the importance of computing. However, there were challenges, the most significant being the difficulty for the older generation of employees to adapt to computers at that time. There were also many other challenges, one of the simplest being the lack of trust in transitioning from paper-based to electronic systems and the fear of their potential drawbacks. This led some countries to lag somewhat in keeping pace with development in this direction. Today, we are witnessing a repetition of the experience with artificial intelligence. Some proactive governments and individuals will excel, but this is a qualitative leap that requires strategic plans and quality standards to ensure the sustainable and effective implementation of these technologies. As the objectives have qualitatively changed, it is crucial to recognize the moment and integrate diverse fields with AI to advance and begin the era of smart cities, which start with smart people. #AI #smartcities
