I once heard a CEO say, "We can't afford to focus on user experience right now. We need to hit our numbers!" This mindset is a recipe for disaster……. Here's why: User experience and financial goals aren't enemies - they're partners in a virtuous cycle. Great user experience → More engaged users → More habitual customers → Better monetization opportunities → Stronger financial performance → Resources to further improve user experience It's not about choosing one over the other. It's about aligning your team to work on both simultaneously. In my experience leading product teams, this approach has consistently led to sustainable growth and profitability. What's your take? Have you seen the benefits of balancing user needs and business goals in your product development?

Looking to build great products? Start with team structure. As a Chief Product Officer, I never expected that much of my focus would be on structuring my team. But what I discovered was that how my team was structured played a pivotal role in shaping the quality of our products. Structuring your team around the user journey is a game-changer. It unlocks cross-functional collaboration between teams, while keeping a consistent focus on customer needs and pain points. Here’s how it works: - Map out your user journey - Define the product touchpoints at each stage - Assign cross-functional teams to each touchpoint This ensures that every aspect of your product is designed and delivered with the user in mind. But it's not just about the end product. This structure also facilitates quick iteration and problem-solving, leading to better customer experiences and stronger business outcomes. So if you're struggling with product management, take a step back and focus on team structure. The benefits will be exponential.

Products don't just solve problems—they reshape culture. But how does a solution like AirPods transform from "no more tangled wires" into redefining how we experience the world? 🎧 I've uncovered a fascinating pattern: The Three Waves of Product Impact 1. Solution → Adoption • Solving immediate problems • Creating clear utility 2. Adoption → Behavior • Reshaping daily habits • Creating new social signals 3. Behavior → Culture • Transforming collective experience • Redefining boundaries The key? These waves aren't random—they're forces we can design for intentionally. 🔗👇 Link to full free post in comments. #ProductStrategy #Innovation #ProductDesign #UserExperience #ProductManagement 🤝 Follow me, Rohan Dehal, for more insights on product, strategy, and innovation. ♻️ Did this spark new ideas? Baby it’s cold outside ☃️ Happy new year 🎉 After a well earned rest I’m back, back to creating excellent experiences, amazing products and getting ready to launch zally® to the world. After building and setting foundations, it’s a lot, and a lot of changes - thanks to feedback, research and data. Most people hate change, I love and hate it too! Change is a constant though, so you need to be able to change, learn and adapt. Change is not always a bad thing, it’s massive learning, a chance to reset and refine, take what you’ve done and remove the bad stuff, keep the good stuff and simplify the rest. Change is listening to people, listening to your customers, listening to your teams, listening and reviewing your metrics. What’s working and what’s not? If things are not working change them. Make them better or scrap them entirely. This is easier said than done, do little experiments to change how you do things - do these work? Do people like them? Most importantly, if you’re planning on change - get teams and customers involved, make everyone a part of the change. Only then will that change be loved and not hated. 🌈 #change #leadership #development #experience #ux

There are 3 pillars most projects fail with before they launch. 1. Product. 2. Team. 3. Visuals. If you're missing one of these pillars you'll most likely fail. Don't focus on user acquisition or going mass market until these 3 are fixed, just focus on the fundamentals.
