Etsy #sextoy ban from 29th of July this year bans everything vaguely porn related to insertables and photo-realistic depictions of #sex acts. Sellers who have built up their Etsy sex toy businesses are naturally furious. Not only are there limited other platforms that they will be able to sell their wares on, but for most it will mean launching their own online shop and it's going to be incredibly expensive to attract enough #traffic to keep their businesses viable. Either way, selling on other sites or concentrating on your own website is likely to result in a significant drop in income for many sellers. #sexualwellness #ecommerce #onlineretail

Let’s talk about sex. The thing that happens mostly in the dark, the thing that’s “not safe for work,” the thing we’re all so busy with yet, on average and (consider yourself lucky if you’re not) still a bit confused about. Now, here’s the question: how do we imagine it visually? How do we make it accessible, interesting, inclusive, and inviting? And how do we allow it to exist in the prudish realm of algorithm-inspected social media? Maximilian Stedtfeld of Picter approached me last year on behalf of Germany’s biggest sex toy brand, AMORELIE, with these very questions. The offer? To create new key imagery for them. Our goal was to capture real-life moments of intimacy—featuring different orientations, ages, and ethnicities. We wanted the images to feel honest and authentic. We wanted to shoot on location, keeping the production footprint as minimal as 1-2 crew members while using available light only. It might not come as a surprise, given what our beloved city is made of. Still, when we put out our casting calls on social media, we were overwhelmed by the incredible response. So many beautiful Berliners reached out, it was then only a little tough to choose. I was deeply humbled by the trust my subjects placed in us, allowing a glimpse into their intimate spheres and desires. Take a moment to visit the link and explore my personal picks from these sessions. >>> https://lnkd.in/ds6tuJCw * "we/us" is Polina Georgescu on moving image and myself on still photography * HMU on session no. 4 Joanne Sysum * thank you to @maggys.universum @shib.ari.fairy @unity.dome.berlin * thank you Owono Talents

Good morning dreamers and schemers. It’s Tuesday, so let’s talk sex toys. Actually before we do that, a random question. Without Googling it, can anyone tell me the clock speed on their laptop of PC? No didn’t think so. Boring AF right? But if you’re selling laptops, the number of cycles your CPU executes per second might be what clinches sales. So of course you want to talk about it. But if that's all your messaging talks about, expect it to have the half life of a SpaceX launch. You need to get people’s attention first. Get them in the mood to read about CPU cycles. Which brings me to sex toys. “Love Not War” make sustainable sex toys. But our easily offended society isn’t ready for a brand to start diving in and talking about whatever they talk about when promoting sex toys. It’s the CPU problem. You have to get their attention somehow. Get them in the mood and make it OK to read about sex toys. “Love Not War” nailed it. What did they do? They made us laugh. Their “Break up with your shower head” campaign was perfectly pitched. Risqué enough to be clever and witty. But not so risqué they got cancelled. By talking about a delicate subject in a very relatable way (apparently 😁), they’ve made us laugh. When we laugh, we drop our guard. When we drop our guard, anything can happen, including making an impulse purchase. By a happy coincidence, we design and create original, witty, messaging and campaign copy that has people dropping their guard faster than Anthony Joshua. DM me to find more.

Etsy goes USA level prude and will kill Artisanal sex toy businesses - without having told them that their policies were changing. Surprise! - Simply Elegant Glass has been selling hand-crafted sex toys on Etsy for nearly a decade. In that time, the shop has made over 7,000 sales and racked up more than 1,500 mostly five-star reviews. The Etsy shop — which offers glass dildos, anal plugs and other insertable items — drives the majority of the small business’ overall sales. But as of Monday July 29, the bulk of the shop’s catalog won't be allowed on the marketplace anymore under Etsy’s new restrictions around sex toys. The Adult Nudity and Sexual Content policy, which was quietly published at the end of June to the platform’s “House Rules,” states that “Etsy prohibits the sale of adult toys that are: inserted into the body; applied to the genitalia; designed for genitals to be inserted into them.” Among other things, it specifically forbids vendors from selling “dildos, vibrators, anal plugs, sex dolls and fleshlights.” The policy update, spotted first by Mashable, came in tandem with a community forum post by Etsy’s head of Trust & Safety, Alice Wu Paulus, who wrote that it was designed to reflect “evolving industry standards and best practices so that we can continue to keep our users safe.” The note about the impending change said Etsy would, in the coming weeks, “communicate directly with sellers who may need to update their listing images to be compliant.” Enforcement would begin on July 29, it said, and non-compliant listings would be removed. But up to three weeks after the new policy was published online, sellers that spoke to Engadget said they were never contacted directly by Etsy. All of them found out about the ban through social media or other means. How To Sell Sex Toys Online: The Complete Guide (2025) While sex toys might sound like a taboo subject, 78% of Americans say they own at least one. With that kind of demand, more brands are popping up by the minute to answer unique desires and reach longing customers. The industry still has its challenges, but changing attitudes and the sex positivity movement have opened more space for those looking to sell sex toys online. The sex toy industry: current landscape As late as the 1990s, buying and selling sex toys happened almost exclusively in strip-mall stores with obscured windows, purchases secreted in paper bags. It has been only in the past couple of decades that body and sex positivity elevated adult brands from fringe to celebrated. But as with any topic as politicized as sex, challenges persist. The nature of the business requires extra rigor on the part of founders to protect customer privacy. And, while technology has made it easier to reach buyers, it’s also often the source of strife for those selling sex toys. Restrictions from financial institutions and social media platforms demand that adult brand founders find creative solutions. With the right tools, a unique product idea, and plenty of research, however, it’s possible—even for beginners—to build a successful brand selling sex toys and accessories online. How to sell sex toys online -Find an idea—and a market for it -Build a brand -Choose your business model: Make, manufacture, or resell sex toys -Create an online store to sell sex toys -Invest in sex education -Consider additional sales channels -Get familiar with safety and privacy practices for adult stores -Market your sex toys and adult products -Prioritize customer satisfaction Selling sex toys online can be a rewarding business, but there are unique challenges that require creativity. If you’re looking to sell adult toys, this guide will walk you through the steps to creating sex toys, developing a brand, and navigating censorship. What does it cost to start a sex toy business? What’s a topic that’s almost as taboo as sex? Money. (Though neither should be.) The cost to start a business selling sex toys online varies wildly, depending on the model you choose. If you decide to become a reseller, the bulk of your startup costs will be buying inventory, renting storage space (if you don’t have it), and fees for your online store. Even if you DIY a lot of this (using free tools to design your branding), expect to require a few thousand dollars to get started. #sextoy #sextoys #dildo #vibrator #sextoyshop #sextaferia #sexshops #sextoysonline #pleasure #sextoyswanita #vibrators #lingeries #bdsm #sexy #AlatBantuSex #sextoysmurah #alatbantusexwanita #alatbantusexpria #love #dildos #adulttoys #sextoyspria #alatbantusexmura #kondom #obatperangsan #kondomuni #pembesarpeni #kondomcrystalberduri #KondomSambung #PEMBESAR

Buying sex toys on Shein? Read this first. https://lnkd.in/gHq6z-X9 Some experts have raised concerns about the materials Shein and similar retailers might be using. When it comes to sex toys, "body safety" — referring to materials that are safe on or inside the body — is unbelievably important. Materials like medical-grade silicone, glass, and stainless steel are considered body-safe. You're putting these items on or in your genitals and anus, after all. You don't want them to be made of just anything.

Despite a lack of industry standards and long-standing societal taboos, China’s multi-billion dollar sex toy industry continues to boom, albeit with many caveats in today's economy. The issues this industry faces mirror those in many emerging sectors in China.
When Sun, a Chinese adult product manufacturer, first entered the business in 2018, visitors at sex toy exhibitions in China largely avoided the anal plug booths. They would walk by in shock when he approached them. Six years later, manufacturers say demand for anal plugs has increased significantly, indicating a growing appetite and shifting attitude toward the adult product once considered scandalous. What challenges does the multi-billion dollar industry face? How are the hopeful sex toy makers going to weather the economic downturn? Caini (Eunice) Yang talked to nine entrepreneurs and sex toy designers, including Renwaiwu, YY Horse, Master4Fancy about how they got here, and where the industry is going. Also featuring SVAKOM, Osuga, Cachito, etc. Read more: #sextoy #chineseconsumers #chinamarket #shenzhen #chuhai https://lnkd.in/gfvh7uSr
