Key Highlights: • CAM serves 70,000+ individuals annually, including the homeless and working poor • A $100,000 matching grant from the Wade Richmond Foundation doubles all August donations • CAM provides immediate assistance and long-term resources for sustainable change. As professionals and leaders, we have the power to drive significant change. Whether through corporate sponsorship, employee volunteer programs, or personal contributions, our actions can create a ripple effect of positive impact. Looking to make a meaningful impact on Giving Tuesday? Please consider giving to Arlington Thrive, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing comprehensive, holistic support to families in need of financial, early childhood, and personalized services to foster long term self-sufficiency. As Treasurer, I see first hand the increasing need and limited funding. Over 51% of South Arlington residents can not afford basic needs due to inflation and reduced safety net programs. Arlington's home ownership rate is 42% compared to a 73% national average, making many more households vulnerable to eviction. Homelessness is up 33% in Arlington. Every little bit goes a long way. Only $100 keeps the heat on for a family struggling to pay utility bills. $250 provides a senior with medications, ensuring their health and well-being. $500 covers a security deposit or a month of rental support to prevent homelessness. Do you want to help unlock stability for a family in Arlington this season? Please join me in donating here - https://lnkd.in/eWXwKEDM #UnlockStability #OneGiftOneFamily #ThriveTogether

EarthLinks is a social-enterprise nonprofit. They have been serving the Sun Valley neighborhood for the last 25 years. They focus on Earth-centered programming for people experiencing homelessness and poverty. Through this work, individuals step out of isolation and into community. This restores both the participants and the planet. In 2023, they got a mini-grant from the Certifiably Green Denver Equity Funding program to: ⚡ Install an ENERGY STAR ice machine 💧 Install WaterSense sink faucets 🚆 Buy RTD passes for their participants “We're a nonprofit working with individuals experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity. So transportation is a critical resource for Participants in our programs," Kathleen Cronon, their Executive Director, told us. "Access to bus and rail services provides a lifeline for participants. They are better able to access services, health care, purchase food, and get to shelter." Do you want to make a difference in your business or organization? Applications are still open for 2024 mini-grants. Learn more: https://bit.ly/4daWKeW

Today is Giving Tuesday- If you’re looking for ways to contribute, I’d like to share two organizations that mean a great deal to me—both of which work tirelessly to address food insecurity and support individuals and families in vulnerable situations. Saint Vincent de Paul https://ssvpusa.org/ Every day, teams of volunteers across the U.S. answer calls for help from neighbors in need. Whether it’s food, rent, utility bills, clothing, or other essentials, this organization steps in during critical moments to prevent hunger and homelessness. I’ve had the privilege of being one of those volunteers, and it’s been a humbling experience to deliver food or help with rent for families who simply need a bit of assistance to make it to the next paycheck. These are people in our communities—our neighbors—who find themselves in difficult circumstances through no fault of their own. Even a small donation can make a world of difference. Imagine skipping one dinner out to help a child have warm clothes or a family keep the lights on. Mary’s Meals https://lnkd.in/gyj86h3v MM feeds over 2.5 million children every school day, breaking the cycle of hunger and paving the way for education and opportunity. Just $25 can feed a child for an entire year. Hunger makes it nearly impossible for children to focus, learn, or dream. By addressing this fundamental need, Mary’s Meals is transforming lives on a global scale. I’ve seen firsthand how even the smallest contribution can change lives, so feel free to PM me and I'll share some insights. #GivingTuesday #SaintVincentDePaul #MarysMeals #EndHunger #GiveBack

Placer County is partnering with local nonprofit AMI Housing to apply for a competitive Homekey+ Program grant from the state to help tackle homelessness. The initiative, if awarded, would bring up to $20 million in funding to expand permanent supportive housing through the purchase and renovation of a motel building in unincorporated Auburn. The county expects to submit its grant application in the next several weeks. 🌻 Introducing the Welcome Home Foundation, Inc. 🌻 We’re excited to announce the launch of the Welcome Home Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the unhoused community in New Jersey. Our mission is to provide comprehensive support and effective housing solutions for individuals and families in need. We focus on three key pillars: 🏡 Redefine Home At the Welcome Home Foundation, we believe that home is more than just a place—it’s a feeling of safety, dignity, and belonging. By bridging the gap between the unhoused community and property owners, we create sustainable housing opportunities that truly feel like home. 🤝 Reimagine Support We know that lasting change requires more than just shelter. That’s why we partner with community organizations, service providers, and volunteers to build a robust support network that uplifts and empowers our clients. By listening to their stories and needs, we ensure our programs are effective and meaningful. 💡 Rediscover You Every individual has unique strengths and potential. Our goal is to help our clients tap into these qualities, offering resources and encouragement as they rebuild their lives and secure a brighter, more stable future. We’re starting this journey rooted in faith and driven by our core values and commitment to making a difference. Guided by the motto, “It Takes a Village,” our focus is on increasing the housing supply by opening the lines of communication between property owners and the unhoused community. We advocate for the unhoused and work to address the root causes of homelessness through long-term solutions, including proactive prevention strategies, to help create a supportive and sustainable path to housing stability. Curious about how you can support our mission? Visit our website at https://thewhf.org to learn more about our work, donate, or explore how you can contribute to the WHF Village. As a SoCal-based company and neighbors just to east of the Eaton fires, the devastation in the past week has been heartbreaking to witness. The hard work of the first responders and the quick response of the community organizations have been beyond impressive to see. Still, the fire has burned over 14,000 acres, killed 17, and is only 65% contained as of late Thursday. As residents and business owners are displaced and organizing to rebuild their lives, a number of grassroots opportunities to support have emerged from livestream concerts with celebrity and foundation support to aggregated GoFundMe lists compiled by local residents and LA entrepreneurs. We have contributed to grassroots efforts to support rebuilding local businesses such as Felisa Wright’s Home and Childcare and Rhythms of the Village Cultural Center, and will be monitoring other opportunities to support our community. We'll list a few other resources for residents and opportunities to contribute in the comments. There's a lot of uncertainty right now but seeing communities pull together and the generosity of others gives hope these communities can rebuild stronger. ▶️ LA Check In; donations split among 12 local nonprofits https://lnkd.in/gX2R6Dqs ▶️ LA Chamber Small Business Disaster Relief Fund https://lnkd.in/gqCQQPZx ▶️ Aggregated GoFundMe lists - message and we will send you the links #LAFires #EatonFires #LAWildfires #DisasterRelief #SmallBusinessSupport #CommunityResources #WildfireRecovery

While the core of Resource Synergy’s work is to better the environment and economy, we are also dedicated to supporting our community. As a triple bottom line company, we’ve set aside a portion of our revenue to support charitable causes. We recently invested some of this fund in Priority Spokane. Here’s why: In 2009, the community asked for attainable education for their youth and Priority Spokane listened. Knowing that lack of education is linked to intergenerational cycles of poverty and poor health and that graduation rates at the local public schools were at 60%, Priority Spokane’s team decided it was going to be the goal. They tackled the project, and within five years, they saw the graduation rates rise to 80%! This is just one of the many awesome reasons they won the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Culture of Health Prize in 2014. Today, Priority Spokane has set its top four priorities to: 1) Improving public safety and mental health service access, 2) Building local capacity for childcare, 3) Increasing the tree canopy to improve the environment in neighborhoods of Spokane, and 4) To promote housing innovations such as shared equity housing, tiny homes, and cooperative living to help address the housing shortage. #community #Spokane #ResourceSynergy

At S.R. Snodgrass, we understand the value that nonprofit organizations, and specifically, Community Action and Head Start Agencies, deliver to the communities they serve. Since the Economic Opportunity Act was passed in 1964, Community Action Agencies (CAA) have been charged with fighting the war against poverty. Their wide variety of programs has continued to expand and evolve over the years, providing the necessary resources to empower those in need, creating positive impacts to all those served by Community Action.
