I’m here to remind you that optimism is an asset. If you live in this part of the world, we’ve seen a 100% surge in the price of petrol, electricity tariffs have climbed up and unemployment rate is rising. Everything is going in the opposite direction at the detriment of the people. However, it’s outside of your control. We are not the CBN Governor nor the minister of finance. So how do we navigate all the negative economic decline and get through this? My message is to look for the little things that bring you joy and romanticize it while we still hold the government accountable. Optimism is an asset and you need a clear head to get through it. Pls share with me what your strategy is. #FinancialLiteracy #Longterm #Growth #Optimism #Investing

You’re absolutely spot on. It’s important to keep a positive attitude and mindset during this difficult time. For me, the strategy is simple- living within my means and focusing on things that I can control.

I completely agree with you Oluwatosin Olaseinde. My strategy is disconnecting from news about Nigeria, finding joy in the little things, and eating good food!

The power of positive thinking, being at peace with yourself and enjoying the little things that each day gifts us. It will only get better...keep your expectations alive. #believe #havefaith

This is exactly my current mindset. Sometimes, I think we are in a fast descent into a failed state but thinking and talking doesn't and hasn't solved the problems yet. I focus on what I can control and I help alleviate the problem where I can.
