After nearly 7 Incredible years, my professional journey with Johnson Controls, a global leader in Building Solutions, has come to completion. During my time at JCI, I had the privilege of witnessing its remarkable transformation, from a company focused on traditional solutions to one now leading the way in sustainability, smart buildings, and digital transformation. Change is never easy, and JCI has certainly navigated its challenges over the years. As the saying goes, "Change is hard at the beginning, messy in the middle, and glorious at the end." I’m excited to see the amazing stories that will come out of JCI in the years ahead. I will always be grateful to the people I worked with—talented, compassionate individuals who made work not just a place, but a community. The excellent work-life balance and innovative culture were just a few reasons why JCI stood out. I’m especially thankful to the leadership for their unwavering support for working parents during COVID—going above and beyond, showing the true heart of the company. Every leader I had was an incredible mentor, helping me grow in so many areas of my career. While I'm sad to close this chapter, I acknowledge that it's time for me to step out of my comfort zone and prioritize professional growth, self-improvement, mastering interviews, and facing tough questions. Although challenging, this journey will be one of self-discovery and continuous growth. Change brings uncertainty and I’m feeling it. But, with all that I’ve learned along the way, I’m also excited for what’s next! I’m now open to the professional world once again, eager to explore new opportunities, collaborate with incredible organizations, and take on the next adventure. For me, JLR stands out as an example of a healthy and supportive work environment. Here’s why: 𝟭. 𝗜𝗱𝗲𝗮𝘀 𝗧𝘂𝗿𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻:💡 We don’t just talk about improving processes or increasing efficiency during our regular meetings. At JLR, we are empowered with the support, resources, and trust needed to transform those ideas into tangible actions that drive positive change. 𝟰. This level of openness builds trust and ensures that we feel supported as individuals, not just employees. Honestly, when I look back on the past year, I feel fortunate to be part of this organization! It’s time…..one of my fabulous assignments is finishing at the end of May, so am on the look out for another project that’s around two days a week.
